Volta Youth for Development (VYD) has consistently pushed the claim that President Mahama and his NDC led government have continuously considered Voltarians in and out of the Volta region and the region itself less important and as a result starve them of what they and the region rightly deserve.

The most annoying part is the President's gift of cars and House to Akua Donkor over the demand of Voltarians.

Note our research has revealed that Madam Akua Donkor has consistently made it clear on most media platforms that due to how charitable, kind and caring President Mahama is, he has given her one Mitsubishi Pajero, one Mitsubishi L200 Pick Up and a four bedroom apartment at Sakumono Estates aside the many goodies he has given her in the past for her continues support of him.

Our further checks revealed that the total value of the 2 cars and the house is 786,000 Gh Cedis

Breakdown of the cost of the gifts

1 USD=4Gh Cedis

Four Bedroom apartment at Sakumono Estates =478,000 Gh Cedis

Mitsubishi Pajero =$55,000
=220,000Gh Cedis

Mitsubishi L200 Pickup =$22,000
= 88,000Gh Cedis

Total = 786,000 Gh Cedis

Moreover our research in the Volta region has also revealed that majority of towns in the region are very much in need of basic stuffs such as CHPS compound and potable drinking water.

As a result majority of Voltarians have to travel long distances for medical assistance and also for clean water or depend on rain water or water from polluted rivers for their drinking, cooking and bathing.

The break down and total value of the demands of some of the areas we researched at are as follows;

Cost of one CHPS compound 180,000 Gh Cedis

Number of boreholes needed is 12, 12x12,000=144,000

Amedzofe town

Number of boreholes needed is 10

10x12=120,000

Asukawkaw town in the Biakoye constituency

current source of water is Asukawkaw river(polluted)

Number of boreholes needed is 8

8x12,000=96,000

Nyitawuta village in Anlo constituency
source of medical assistance, cross river Anyanui to either South Tongu constituency or Anlo constituency

Solution: one CHPS compound in the village,

Cost of a CHPS compound is 180,000Gh Cedis

The total value of all the projects needed by these five areas is equal to 660,000 Gh Cedis

ANALYSIS

A comparison of total value of item given to Akua Donkor about (786,000) and that of the total cost of the project needed by this five towns (660,000) to help better the lives of thousand Voltarians and non Voltarians living there shows that Akua Donkor gift alone is far expensive that the cost of all the projects needed in this towns.

Conclusion

The above shows that the NDC and President Mahama have being very wicked and ungrateful to Voltarians especially considering their continues loud cry for such basic needs despite their loyalty.

Suddenly, Professor Emmanuel Martey, former Moderator of the Presbyterian Church has completely dented the image of the Presbyterian Church single-handedly and the respect people have for the members of the Church has ben greatly reduced.
I wish to ask him a few questions.
1. When was the offer of the $100,000, V8 Vehicle, House made i.e. date and time.
2. Was anyone present (from his side) when the offer of the money, car and house made.
3.Did Prof. Martey inform his other clergy after the event
4. Did those politicians book an appointment to see him in advance and by what means (telephone, thro' his Secretary)
5. Did those politicians introduce themselves before the start of the meeting i.e names of those politicians and
6. How many were they.
Please do not disgrace the Presbyterian Church for Ghanaians urgently await reply from you.

THAT ON THE DAY OF INDEPENDENCE ON 6TH MARCH, 1957 THAT THE FIRST PRESIDENT OF GHANA WHO WAS ALSO THE FIRST PRIME MINISTER OF GHANA BROUGHT TOGETHER THE FOLLOWING:
(i) THE BRITISH COLONY--GOLD COAST
(ii) THE ASHANTI COLONY
(iii) THE NORTHERN TERRITORIES
(iv) THE TRANS VOLTA TOGOLAND

AND NAMED THE UNION AS GHANA AND THAT IS THE HISTORY AND THE BEGINNING OF THE COUNTRY GHANA AND ALSO DESCRIBED AS "THE BLACK STAR OF AFRICA".

Independence would mean Scotland leaving the UK permanently and starting again
The services and institutions we now share will stay part of the continuing UK, while the new Scotland will have to create much of its own infrastructure and negotiate its own terms and conditions with other countries.
The UK has a diverse and successful economy
The UK has a population of around 63 million people; Scotland’s population is around 5 million. This means far more people are paying tax across the UK, which is what funds public spending and ensures we provide for one another – whether that’s through the NHS or the State pension. Scotland benefits, as public spending is 10% higher per person in Scotland than across the UK as a whole. Being part of the UK means Scotland’s economy is better protected against the ups and downs of the global economy.
Being part of the UK is an important factor in that economic success
70% of Scottish exports, including 40% of all Scottish goods and services, go to the rest of the UK. Separation could see trade move less freely, affecting jobs and income.
UK has major international influence
As a major player in the UN Security Council, NATO and the EU, the UK carries influence through its international alliances and world class armed forces that protect us and generate jobs. The UK spends over £34 billion on defence each year, and 12,500 regular armed forces (8.8% of the UK total) will be based in Scotland by 2020.
Centuries of shared culture, media, sport and arts
The diversity of the UK enriches everything we do – from our academic research and technological innovation to our performing arts – and it means we can invest more in doing it. Scottish communities received one fifth of UK Government money spent improving broadband in rural areas. And the BBC, which receives just over £300 million in licence fees from Scotland each year, spends just under £4 billion on broadcasting in Scotland.

What you need to know
Four million people can vote in this referendum, but the result affects all 63 million people in the UK.
