In Mathew 7:21-28, Jesus pointed out to his audience "...not all who say unto me Lord, Lord; shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my father which is in heaven." Matthew 7:21
Jesus ended his admonition with the parable built on the rock and the house built on the sand in verses 25- 28. Both houses in the parable had foundations. One had the permanence and solidity of the rock for ts foundatiion; whereas the other had the transient, and shifting sands for its foundation.
