Perhaps you didn't read the story well. Or, perhaps, u don't understand the meaning of an "inquest", or the work of a coroner. Perhaps, you even don't understand the coroners conclusion of "open verdict".
When a coroner gives an open verdict, it simply means cause of death is suspicious or doubtful. That simply leaves the case open for further investigation. Well, it will only take time before this guy is nailed. Mark it on the wall.
Ghana's attorney general can clear the pastor for lack of evidence, but the British system is totally different. In Britain, we dwell on facts, intelligence and competence, not the "NDC" propaganda that is killing Ghana.

For starters, a [pastor] brings his foreign pregnant wife home (foreign land for the lady), questionably in an obscure hotel, and leaves her to travel back to UK; isn't that too much already?

Then he (questionably) asks the hotel staff not to disturb her, a pregnant and fragile lady who may need assistance because of her vulnerability?

Arriving in Britain, when he was asked about her, he initially gave a very perfunctory response indicating he didn't know how she was when he left.

Why would anyone leave his pregnant wife to follow him later if nothing happened to the her already?

Whatever the case may be, this guy murdered the lady for reasons known to him alone, but that may catch up with him now that everyone is alert trying to find meaning into what the motivating factors could be for murder.

This is a case that has been investigated by the British Crime Agency that involved Essex Police, the Foreign office and the British Embassy in Ghana. There is no iota of truth in that line of story that the pastor told the hotel staff not to disturb his wife. A man has lost his wife and unborn child. Allow him to grieve a little bit. After all you Ghanains don't trust your system and has allowed the British to give you the best report and the second opinion so what is your problem again

Several conjectures and questions readily come to mind about this poor woman's death. Did the postmortem establish the time of death and reported break-in into her room and juxtapose it with the time the husband told the hotel staff not disturb her?or his check out time. ? Was the lady already asleep at the time of the husband's check out? What was the Lady's previous days activities such that she could have been so tired to require a long rest? Did she report sick to any medical facility whilst in Ghana? If the autopsy reveals that she did not have a history of drug abuse, why will she be taking an Overdose of heroine in Ghana? Family members and friends are also needed to tell us what the marriage was Like.
The final question is why the lady won't even step out of her hotel room to see her husband off and just remain in the room? If she was asleep at the time of the husband's departure, it would mean that she had already taken the drug overdose and therefore the husband knew she was taken the substance. More investigations are needed to unravel the truth about this case .
