Do you actually understand what the IMF does to economy like ours? Let me ask you one simple question. I do not know where you live and working but do you invite an outsider to come in and tell you how to manage your finances? If so, why? Who are the people working with the IMF? Are they humans with two heads and more brains than the so called leaders we have?

Ghana and most African nations are not developing due to their reliance on the IMF because they always come in with some stings attached policies erodes whatever gains we have done which makes no sense. Education without the application of commonsense is nothing and that is what our leaders are doing. They lack commonsense despite being educated.

To me the prof has a problem and has contradictory views about IMF initiatives ;he rightly pointed out that IMF programmes do not work and in Africa it is even worse so whait is uniqiue about the Ghana initiative ; this idea that the conditions put forward were 'Home Grown is a load of BUll Shit'; how can you have home grown solutions because the macro -economic and poor management of the economy are the same anywhere you go in the world ; the problems identified are simply typical of countries who cannot manage their economies ; WHAT IS THIS PROF talking about ; the initiative is not a grant but a credit facility that must be paid ; what the Prof should understand is that the IMF as an organisation is a business and therefore any opportunity to market loans and credit lines to weak countries who do not manage their economies well opens an opportunity to create more debt for that country ; the truth of the matter is that ; the NDC have not got clever people to manage our economy and create wealth for Ghana ; these bunch of stillers led by Jon Mahama are there not to manage the economy of Ghana they are there to still and loot from the country.

IMF was established for a purpose. Ghana is a member of IMF and can benefit from the financial and technical resources of the Fund. You guys should read about the reasons why the Fund was established.

The blame for our hardship is the NDC government of JDM who have the executive authority but chose to prioritise large scale loan financed infrastructure projects based on padded contract sums and sole sourcing. The have hiked taxes to pay off debts that are so heavy that the cannot meet obligations to local contractors and honour social spending commitments like feeding and tuition subsidies, NHIS and have sabotaged the Single Spine Salary system to the detriment of workers. The real problem is the administration that has bankrupted the system but still borrows and sinks the economy into indebtedness. When the IMF was called in these novices had already ruined our projects, collapsed agricultural and manufacturing. Do you expect the IMF to fix that for Ghanaian voters and their choice of an incompetent and corrupt President and government. Stop the hippocracy
