In fact, I simply don't get the whole hubbub surrounding the aftermath of the so-called Montie 3. Those guys have specifically told the president to instead concentrate on his fantastic job since they are ready to serve their 4 month prison sentence meted out to them. So, all those putting pressure on Mahama must cease doing so. Now, in Ghana, one could walk out of prison half of the length sentenced with good behaviour, except murderers.

Should the president heed to the call to pardon them, then I think he would be using the latter as the window of opportunity to give them a pass rather than going against the Supreme Court's ruling, which I find it to be a bite tricky if not dangerous to the very dispensation our young democracy rests on. That is my take though, hence restraining me initially from commenting on the joint call to pardon the Montie 3 to date.

What those guys said was wrong but the court was equally wrong,a Supreme Court is not a criminal court,as I said even before the trial when some called for their prosecution that they will not get fair trial at the Supreme Court which was exactly what happened.

The sentence was outrageous,especially asking them to pay ten thousand cedis within 24 hours,that kind of ruling never happened any where I heard of,not even under Taliban or ISIS, paying a fine of that magnitude in a poor country like Ghana just doesn't make sense.

Ask yourself if it is justified to charge owners of a radio station criminally for what was said at their radio station,is it not a media commission or national communication that deal with such issues on a civil manner if there is violation?What the Supreme Court did in this case never happened even under the military regimes we have had in years and very soon that court will even sentence radio equipments to prison for being responsible for the contempt,the contempt of court is being abused in Ghana very much with every single day somebody going to court for contempt of court even if your outfit does something which you are the head of the institution,imagine somebody going to court to have a regional minister or District Chief Executive jailed because his outfit took a decision against them,imagine somebody asking a court to jail IGP because police didn't enforce a court order on his behalf,we have a broken system,let us admit it.

Now, with this Omari guy who is a strong NPP guy,he should have been arrested long ago,what he said is similar to what those guys said which was what happened to some judges in 1982 which is death and if somebody said if the president releases the three what happened to Mills will happen to him,which is also death,he should be arrested immediately,he said it and used the word 'dare' which is strong word to show his seriousness.

Why treat that man differently,what is he going to do to the president,take him to the bar for a drink or socialization,was that what happened to President Mills,he will not be president again,is there anywhere you can issue a death threat on the president or anybody and get away with it?

The case should have been better referred to the Attorney General's jurisdiction or office. However, that was done poorly by the Montie 3's own lawyers to my recollection so far. So, don't blame the Supreme Court for taking advantage of that very judicial mishap of your very concerned.

Now, that said, do you really understand the magnitude of a Supreme Court in every democracy across the globe? Well, the institution is the one and only custodian of the law governing the democracy itself and they owe their fanciful robes to the citizenry. Even the president of the country can't overturn their rulings, that, comrade, is why they are the last resort concerning laws and judicial matters under all democracies.

To put it bluntly, the Apex Bench is the Key to our very democratic dispensation. Disregard their ruling and you are practically doomed as a country or a democracy. So, the president may have all the executive power on paper to flex about as he so wishes, but the Apex judiciary can stop him right in his tracks when they see fit because the institution is the almighty law itself. The president, Hanna Serwaa Tetteh and many others know this very facts guiding the constitution, hence Hanna Serwaa Tetteh's initial reluctance to signing of that petition circulating about in the first place.

Now, think about this, had Akufo- Puffer-Addict rubbished the ruling of the Supreme Court and went ahead and declared himself a winner of the last elections, what would have been the outcome by now down there? Let us cherish the democracy we desperately craved for and finally have in place, please! Yes, I don't support the unfortunate utterance of the Montie 3 on our volatile airwaves and neither do I condone that of Kennedy Agyepong nor Omari as well as any other from our political divide, but the ruling came this time from the Supreme Court and it's final, bubby, FINAL.

So, those three better stick it out in there and finish their time gracefully. As for the Supreme Court Judges, leave their fate in the hands of the discerning lot.

President Mahama aimed at achieving this has given the police service more than 2000 new vehicles to improve their operations.

Aside this the government in terms of improving and motivating the security forces like the police and soldiers has increased the annual services of these personnel to an encouraging amount of more than 200million point minimum.

The government also has build a housing structure of about 200 new houses for the personnel.

These advancement certainly has changed the face of security needs in the country.

The Service also created 309 police stations, 75 Districts and 30 Divisions across the country and deployed 1,900 personnel to 186 newly created duty points and increased their involvement in traffic management and public engagement.

This obviously has led to peace.

To increase access to the use of certified seeds made up of rice, sorghum, cowpea, soybean, groundnut, and citrus foundation seeds, a total of 42.5mt out of a target of 45.5mt of foundation seeds were produced in 2015.

In 2016, a total of 3,057.5mt of the same seeds will be produced.
In addition, 50,000 planting material of yam and 3,000 suckers of plantain are targeted for Production.

Under the enhanced access to quality rice seed initiative, 200mt of improved rice seed were distributed to 10,000 farmers in the Volta, Northern, Upper East and Upper West Regions to increase productivity.

90,000mt, out of a target of 180,000mt of fertilizer was procured and distributed to farmers countrywide.

Some times friends wonder if this boy has a living father who doesn't see the stupidity and madness his son is exhibiting. Some years back, this same bad boy used the computer to put the head of the sitting president on a naked man having sex with a naked woman and posted it on the FACEBOOK but was left off the hook. i have the belief that he will regret on the day of judgment because of this unghanaian attitude!

Still in the area of Agriculture, To boost local rice production, 77 SAME tractors, 49 power tillers, 20 rice threshers, 11 rice reapers and six rice mills with their respective Components were assembled and sold to farmers.

In addition, 100 units of Cabrio tractors with multi components were assembled for sale to farmers on hire purchase.

This year the Ministry has procured 50 tractors with the requisite components to support Agricultural Mechanization Services Enterprise Centres across the country.
