Her effort is appreciated but let us be honest with ourselves and admit the inevitable.None of them is coming back with a medal not because of lack of effort on their part .We are a nation of disorganized people who rely more on luck than preparation for success.There is no reason why we are not competing in events like field hockey,archery, target shooting,rowing,table tennis ,Badminton,football, handball,boxing.These games are relatively less costly to prepare for and much less competitive. Why can't we use common sense sometime?Don't these asswipes in charge get tired of been losers?

Well done girl. Keep ging. You have to train very hard though. Do some research and find the best coach in your area or even beyond and move there. It is a full time commitment as swimming peaks in the early years. In other words you only have one more Oly,pic cycle maybe two at a real stretch. The women's swimming at Olypic level by 19/20 is over. So youhave one shot at it for the next 4 years realistically. Well done. and well done to your parents for getting the federation to give you a chance. Not all the Ghana Federations are effective. Most of them are run by people who work against the athletes not for the athletes and don't seem to understand what's involved. They also don't back foreign based athletes which is very silly because realistically the infrastructure needed to reach Olympic standard can be accessed by those kids in the Diaspora and their success will breed success for those at home but you have to start from the outside and then build the local in tandem. You can't expect to reach olympic standard by someone doing local stuff. Just not realistic.
