Sports Minister, Nii Lantey Vanderpujye has called on the Ghana Football Association and the technical team of the National U20 team to groom and develop the current players of the Black Satellites.

The team failed to go past Senegal in qualifying for the 2017 Africa Youth Championship after a 3-2 aggregate scoreline.

The minister, who was at the Cape Coast stadium to witness the second leg of the qualifying tie between the Black Satellites and Young Lions of Senegal, claims the players have incredible individual talents that need to be groomed.

“We have a good team, and this temporary setback should not affect us. We should build the team for tomorrow because it is a very good team.”

“The players need to be groomed and encourage. Some to me are even Black Stars materials already.” He told Moses Antwi Benefo (PJ Mooze) on Happy FM.

The Black Satellite players who were each given GHC600 as 7 Months Camping Allowance, will have to wait on management for promotion into the Black Meteors and subsequently the Black Stars.
