God help us before NDC THIEVES DESTROY GHANAIANS completely.. ... Brilliant and intelligent Ghanaians have been sidelined as far as running the country is concerned, and instead, people “who know next to nothing” are calling the shots due to extreme partisanship in the country, former president of the Ghana Bar Association, Mr Sam Okudzeto, has said.
“The country is full of very brilliant, intelligent people [but] we have sidelined them, we have pushed all of them to the side and then you have people who know next to nothing wielding power, showing power, and the rest of us are suffering. I think it’s about time that Ghanaians sit up,” he noted.
Speaking to host of the Executive Breakfast Show (EBS) on Class 91.3FM, Prince Minkah, after think tank Institute of Economic Affairs launched findings of its pre-election survey, which identified unemployment, unreliable electricity, and poverty as the most important problems confronting Ghanaians ahead of the 2016 polls, Mr Okudzeto said Ghana needed an overhaul of governance structures to alleviate the suffering of the masses.
According to him, partisan politics and excessive centralisation of power had left the country with several development challenges. He said Ghanaians must sit up and challenge the wrong approach of governance, which is characterised by the abuse of power, by voting based on issues.
“…Excessive power that has been centralised, whereby one person virtually has power to dismiss everybody and appoint everybody, and we kept repeating it that it was a wrong approach to governance, but even if it is the constitution, you can still go behind it and say, ‘Let’s sit down and discuss the issue because this is national. What solutions can we provide for it?’, and then we can all put our heads together,” Mr Okudzeto added.
According to him, the amount of fuel guzzled per month by one V8 SUV used by government officials, can build a school for a village.
“Part of the problem that we are suffering from in this country now is because of the parties. They come into power, many of them you see are riding in V8 in Accra. Where are they going in V8 cars? Do you know the amount of petrol these cars consume? You will be shocked that that can provide a school block for a small village and that is one person using it for a month. The petrol one person uses for the month can provide a school block for a village”, he stated.

The NPP is behaving as if they are far better than Angel Gabriel. Why have they suddenely become angels? Why are they not talking about the crime they have committed against this country, but always putting up such useless.propaganda? Do they want us to talk remind them? No discerning Ghanaian has the time for that. Could both Akufo Addo and the serial liar Bawumia be trusted with this country? Ghana will be doomed. Now, according to them, this government is corrupt and has done nothing. They should tell us what they can do better and how they are going to do it. Now that they have met their Waterloo at the SC, in respect of their diabolic plans to disinfranchise certain tribes, they have become more confused than ever. We have not forgotten the sales of our national prides such as the Ghana telecom, Ghana Airways, the drillship and the huge amount stolen from our newly find oil. The Npp should give us a break for once.

I have a strategy which can help opposition win this coming elections. Vocal members like karbo, awuku, kwamina Duncan, Perry, and many more should just put their contact numbers on this platform. Suggestions will be sent to them to act . Those of us on the fence are ready and willing to support Nana win this election. Nana must also promise us to stay in office for 4 yrs and allow bawumia and kyerematen to contest the presidential seat . This is an honest contribution. NPP members should all support nana's course to victory.

Old age is a beautiful thing but not when it comes to leadership like that of a president. I like this man's (Nana Addo) charisma and humour but I think he is too old to be elected as a president. At the age of 70 years your thinking capacity and ways of analysing and executing issues is depreciated even if you are on medication. One must have seen too much in life at the age of 70yrs especially in the past and this alone justifies ones judgement about the present and the future.
I mean with all due respect, how is a president going to make decisions for the future of a country when he’s not going to be around? Being a president is like being a ‘verb’ which literally means action. A president must be active in the day to day activities of a country no matter how many people are surrounded by him/her. A president must be seen doing stuff like cheering the people on, inspiring the people, uniting the people, running with the people, visiting communities, helping the people, doing hard work with the people in other to motivate them since action speaks lauder than words! Please tell me how a president at the age of 70yrs would do all these and still have enough strength left to continue running a country.
This is the 21st Century, Ghana and for that matter Africa needs young and matured brilliant leaders with fresh mentality to transform the life of the people and not leaders with 1st and 2nd world war mentality. The world has moved on long time ago and it is still advancing and Africa must catch up and not left behind. The masses are rising and discerning and the old ways of doing things are no more. A modern nation needs a modern technology and not archaic philosophies.
Ghanaians must do the mathematics and know that this presidential candidate is too old. He is a grandpa and we all know what grandfathers do or perhaps, can do. Health and Security are the two main issues facing the whole world right now and considering his age, I have even not heard him say nor give ideas about how his administration would tackle this two sectors. Ghana, be wise and vote for a young and a vibrant selfless leader to help transform the life of the people with a strong liberation of the whole African continent.
I pray for good health, mentality change and long live for Ghana and the whole African community in Jesus name. May GOD help us all!!!

Mahama created SADA and managed it from his office. It goes without saying, he knows everything about the project. However, when it came to accounting to the people, as he had planned to name his 2016 campaign. The president, did not give this creation of his, a mention, in all the three northen regions he accounted to. I do not fault him. How could he do any such thing? At least, he showed his sincerity, which comes in tots and bits, this time round. He saw in his mind's eye, the many young men and women from the three northern regions, roaming the streets of the regions' capital, doing nothing of worth in their own lives and in the lives of their families. President Mahama also saw, the many young women, some, yet to reach the age of puberty, who have been forced by extreme circumstances, to leave the care of their mothers and the classrooms, to make long, punishing journeys on cattle or yam trucks, to the south. The
President however knows too well, the three hundred million Ghana cedis, sunk into the project, has been chopped by his personal friends. What else can one say? The head culprit of this scheme is now serving as an ambassador to one of Ghana's missions abroad. The remainder of the team of experts and consultants engaged to oversea work at SADA, are all natives of the three northern regions. It presupposes that parts of Brong Ahafo and northern parts of the Volta Region, which form parts of the Savannah area, is an afterthought of the concept, or were added to the scheme, for propaganda effect. There is nothing to show for the project, after all the time and money put in. No prosecution of offenders, only a deafening silence from President John Mahama. I smell Create, Loot and Share here.
