Liver disease is also referred to as hepatic disease.
Liver disease is a broad term that covers all the potential problems cause the liver to fail to perform its designated functions. Usually, more than 75% or three quarters of liver tissue needs to be affected before decrease in function occurs.
The liver is the largest solid organ in the body; and is also considered a gland because among its many functions, it makes and secretes bile. The liver is located in the upper right portion of the abdomen protected by the rib cage. It has two main lobes that are made up of tiny lobules. The liver cells have two different sources of blood supply. The hepatic artery supplies oxygen rich blood that is pumped from the heart, while the portal vein supplies nutrients from the intestine and the spleen.
Normally, veins return blood from the body to the heart, but the portal vein allows chemicals from the digestive tract to enter the liver for "detoxification" and filtering prior to entering the general circulation. The portal vein also efficiently delivers the chemicals and proteins that liver cells need to produce the proteins, cholesterol, and glycogen required for normal body activities.

Why shouldn't Ghanaians get to the bottom of the whole secret relationships allegations to ascertain the veracity of the matter in discussion. This is a very serious allegation involving the sitting President and the Chairperson of the Electoral Commission and must not be dismissed with a simple wave of the hand. Sex for favor is not a new phenomenon in business and politics and it'd have made perfect sense for President Mahama to be the one initiating the call for the probe to clear his name which is being dragged in the mud. If proven false it would also put Kennedy Agyapong to much shame which would silence him forever. Why is the President quiet about it? Is it not serious enough an allegation to cause him sleepless nights? Silence means a lot. It means concern. Don't sweep this dark stain on national politics under the carpet. When President Kufuor was about to form his cabinet, he was approached by Ken King Kong Agyapong and clueless Akufo-Addo who wanted to be offered cabinet positions. Kufuor informed Agyapong that he though Agyapong had financed the NPP's campaign, he had no qualification to be made a Deputy Minister. Agyapong, being the male prostitute that he is, suggested to Kufuor that he could jump into bed with him if that would get him the job. After much thought, Kufuor consented, and after banging Agyapong's ass, Agyapong landed his position as Deputy Minister in Kufuor's cabinet.

When clueless Akufo-Addo heard about how Agyapong used his ass to get his job, Akufo-Addo run to Kufuor and made it known tht he too was more than willing to give his ass to Kufuor in exchange for a specific position, Minister of Foreign Affairs. Kufuor agreed, and he banged Akufo-Addo's ass so hard that Akufo-Addo could hardly walk right after the encounter. Needless to say, Akufo-Addo ended up getting his wish, as he was now appointed Minister of Foreign Affairs. The NPP is well aware that Agyapong and Akufo-Addo are male prostitutes who sold their asses for cabinet positions in Kufuor's government. Karbo and Otiko have knowledge of these encounters.
