This is not the high courts or magistrate court. This is the Supreme Court. It is the only court of our land that has the original jurisdiction of summoning persons before them to explain why such persons actions are not conterminous with the court.
So let us all go back to the constitution of our land and read again the powers of the Supreme Court before we misinform ourselves.

So pause for a second and abreast yourself with our laws before jumping to believe any body because he is some professor.
Sometimes we also have to educate ourselves of our laws.
Why hasn't anybody brought an action against the bench to the extent of the unconstitutionality of the actions?

So, if somebody threatens to kill the Supreme Court judges as in this case, and the Attorney General intentionally refuses to pursue it, the judges must sit down as lame ducks, do nothing and eventually be murdered, huh? Don't they have the right to take the necessary action to defend themselves from being murdered in cold blood by these useless, execrable riffraff and vermin?

The judges can start with a report to the police and the matter escalated from there. The result will be the same but it vrucial that due process is followed to prevent anuse of authority.

This signifies that he was trained in the American system and therefore understands what justice is about. Our Supreme Court is now behaving like God where. "might is right " is the order of the day. I can remember during the presidential result partition hearing, the judges told us that 'the law lies in their bosom ' .To me is like they can interpret the law to their interest because no one can challenge them.
It's about time the Supreme Court upholds the tenement of Freedom and Justice devoid of selfish interest.

@OGEE DAT: it's unfortunate that Prof Asare is being called names for his brilliant contribution on this issue. He merely sought to clarify and enlighten the public on the right things to do in such cases, going so far as to cite two pertinent instances of the past; the contempt case presided over by Justice Atuguba and an earlier one against former President Rawlings in the Quality Grain case presided over by Justice Kwame Afreh. Prof Asare, who in his element, elaborated on the difference between the two types of contempt where due diligence was done to both past cases, except the current case against the two contemnors (the Montie panelists) which he feels should be more properly addressed. Please Gee, go through the learned Professor's input again and see if you do not owe him at least an apology for calling him a dim wit and a fool.
