How can Mahama and the NDC hand over juicy contracts to a Burkinabe contractor whilst our local contractors have no jobs.
Remember the UMB, AMERI, KARPOWER and UBA stinky deals all had something to do with the stashing away of Ghanaian moneys to dubious foreign entities . Now Togolese enjoy NHIS more than Ghanaians and NDC members are happy.
The other day someone assessed health services with the NHIS card. The shocking news is that he was asked to go and buy common paracetamol. This happened right here in Ghana but Togolese come to Ghana to enjoy some of these things freely.
The issue is, without oil money Kufuor was able to implement free maternal care and proper health insurance to Ghanaians. Unfortunately, with all the oil money NHIS cannot afford common paracetamol to its subscribers

ACCOUNTING TO THE PEOPLE IS ABUSE OF INCUMBENCY: THE LAW MUST BE TESTED
We are in the period of Rule of Law which allows us to test the law at anytime there is suspected breach in one form or the other. I believe we should not wait in situations where there is an obvious breach but we can set standards in areas where the breach is not obvious. We should challenge ourselves to be the best in the world and allow other nations to copy from us. We don’t lose anything if we attempt and fail. Our forbearers had very loft vision for this nation. What vision do we have as generations after them?
It is just a matter of engaging the brain to dig deeper. The late Myles Munroe has observed that there is a capped potential in the human being which must be uncapped. We can uncap this potential by engaging ourselves in areas which are unfamiliar. Let us go for them.
The 1992 Constitution has provided occasions when the President is expected by law to appear before the representatives of the people to account for his stewardship. The President cannot do otherwise. The framers of the Constitution acknowledge Probity and Accountability were important so have factored these into our most important law. The cost of this has been borne by the taxpayer. Why should the taxpayer bear the cost of the same thing again? Is this not waste of state resources and therefore financial loss to the state?
At the beginning of every project the President or his representative do inauguration and when the project is completed the President or his representative commissions projects. This practice is very common and one will notice that when students are admitted into tertiary institutions there is matriculation. When they complete their course of studies there is congregation. These signify the beginning and end of projects. What is ‘’Accounting to the people’’ expected to do? Is it to signify the beginning of the projects or the end of the projects?
The Accounting to the people is just waste of the scarce state resources. The country goes out borrowing because we are not able to mobilize adequate resources internally to develop our country. These borrowings come at cost to the taxpayer. Even with all these borrowings we are still lacking in many areas of our national lives. There is often corruption exerted on the dire resources collected from outside. Aside the corruption, Government waste the resources on matters like ‘’Accounting to the people’’ which is a devise to do campaign with state resources.
The President has been heard on several instances going on this tour canvassing for votes in the upcoming elections. In his recent tour of Tema and Ashaiman the President could be heard doing campaign for himself as a competitor in the elections; using state resources which are for all of us considering the fact we belong to different political parties.
The time has come though late, for an injunction to be placed on the President, Government officials and party members to stop the ‘’Accounting to the people’’ through using state resources.
I am thinking that the President will be liable to answer questions after he has been out of office. This is something some of us will pursue after doing the legal research and consider feasible.
