  But for money, how could a level one law student at KNUST, who currently has to be sharperoned by her very affluent father to public events, win a primary contest against veteran politicians? Look, I have attended several public and private events, at which, the famous 'item 13',and how elaborate it was arranged, was the main attraction, which pulled in the crowd, which included several members of the Clergy, to the function!
  So, unless the Bishop endorses the view that only the wealthy and priviledged members of society[that is aristocratic governance], then I strongly believe that, state or public funding of political parties is a necessity!
  Imagine how a select few with money, are able to exert influence on public policy, to the detriment of a large majority, the have-nots. Are we serious in deepening true democracy in this country; or this Bishop, not unlike some individuals and groups, is covertly promoting the warped, and largely discredited ideology of Property-owning-democracy?
  The Man of God, should come again!!!

  Use tax payers money to fund political parties in Ghana and next they'll be asking for tax payers money to build their retirement mansions. These same politicians in Parliament are already crying for special security protections for themselves while the very people they claim to serve continue to be victims of untold violence and criminal attacks on a daily basis. Funding political parties in Ghana will only have more Ayariga and their clown parties coming out of the woodworks to waste tax payers money, with the major parties sucking the breath out of the tax payers pockets.
