Go and see how Prez Mahama of Ghana has transformed Gonjaland with Ghana money just within the two and half years that he has been in power. Every town, village and hamlet in Gonjaland has received a facelift with new facilities such as roads, toilet facilities, markets, mosques, good quality water projects, electricity extension projects, etc. The question is did J. J. Rawlings do the same thing to Voltarians when he was in power for twenty years? What about Atta Mills. The good old Prof was in power for three and a half years yet he was not selfish to only concentrate on his people in Ekumfi Etuam and the central Region but rather his whole thought was for the general good. No wonder under the care of Prez Mills, Ghana achieved a growth rate of 11%, single digit inflation and the smooth implementation of the Single Spine Pay Policy where newly recruited police personnel received the nominal equivalence of 500dollars as monthly salary. Compare these achievements to the nepotism and selfish policies of the Mahama government that has crippled the Ghanaian economy. I really weep for Ewes and Fantis whose votes brought Mahama to power and yet are the hardest hit by the current hardship prevailing in the country.

I personally, don't think that the writer has adopted the name ' Agbesi Kwesi' Anyway, the Ewes say 'Korshie'not Kwesi so Mr, you are not an Ewe. Stop hiding behind pseudo names. Anyway, if you were truly an Ewe you would understand the simple language of the statement which says ' PUBLIC OFFICIALS' This simply means all those who works and I paid from the Public purse or government coffers. It includes your relatives and friends and perhaps yourself who, work for and paid the government. Read the post carefully an intelligently. Learn to relate your arguments to the question or topic/subject. Let's move Ghana forward by constructive, sensible and the application of simple logic appropriately to our debates.

The current regime may not do anything about the rampant corruption and graft, but it will not always be that way. Governments do change and depending on whether or not statutes of limitations exist, something may end up being done about the looters - either in civil court or in criminal court

'When a fish rots it start from the head', a Ugandan proverb. Public officials in Ghana are dissipating public funds with impunity and corrupt officials indicted in ÀG reports to parliament are not punished just because the HEAD IS ROTTEN. The President is corrupt and was corrupt as far back as October 2012 (possibly even before) and so he could not effectively discipline the Sports Minister and other public officials involved in the rot that happened in Brazil in 2014 at the World Cup. The President is corrupt, the Minister is corrupt and Head of Department is corrupt. Who in the ministry can check what the Accountant does? The Massenger? The Watchman? This is root cause of the problem the Auditor General is facing: THE HEAD IS ROTTEN
