Every town, village and hamlet in Gonjaland has received a facelift with new facilities such as roads, toilet facilities, markets, mosques, good quality water projects, electricity extension projects, etc. The question is did J. J. Rawlings do the same thing to Voltarians when he was in power for twenty years? What about Atta Mills. The good old Prof was in power for three and a half years yet he was not selfish to only concentrate on his people in Ekumfi Etuam and the central Region but rather his whole thought was for the general good. No wonder under the care of Prez Mills, Ghana achieved a growth rate of 11%, single digit inflation and the smooth implementation of the Single Spine Pay Policy where newly recruited police personnel received the nominal equivalence of 500dollars as monthly salary. Compare these achievements to the nepotism and selfish policies of the Mahama government that has crippled the Ghanaian economy. I really weep for Ewes and Fantis whose votes brought Mahama to power and yet are the hardest hit by the current hardship prevailing in the country.

Are we safe in the hands of the media in this country? They want to publish anything without considering the security implications. This started when they started reporting on the strategies the police used in arresting arm rubbers forgetting that once they know that they would change tactics. So they have advanced now and we are all in it. These days arm rubbers are killing people everywhere including police officers one would have expected the media and their human rights advocates to come out and condemn this but no. Wait for a police officer to kill a suspected arm robber, there you would hear English. We shall all suffer the consequences.

Now folks will understand why I've always said that John Mahama is not smart; he's so dumb, he can't even use his brains anymore. It all started when he took a pose in front of CNN while on a visit to the U.S. After messing up Ghana's economy and all the corruption and thievery in his gov't, now he feels insecure; he want protection. This is the first time I've heard in my life, where any Head of State, Prime Minister, or President of a country has opted to acquire a pistol for their personal protection. John Mahama acquisition of a weapon exposes or reveals his intentions. The NDC gov't senses danger ahead of the November elections; Mahama and his corrupt cabinet are in bed with the EC urging the latter to disobey court orders about the call for a new voters register.

Defeat is staring glaringly in their faces and they can't just hand over power on a silver platter! They'd rather see blood flow in the streets after the election results are read. Yet Mahama pretentds to be a peaceful man; he went to England saying Ghana is a democratic country, while he orders the Police to brutalize peaceful demonstrators. He goes about telling Ghanaians and the world that he's a peace-maker, yet want's to have a gun for protection. Isn't it ridiculous?
