Where is wisdom when you need it? Why would anyone in their right mind borrow a colossal amount of money to revamp a factory first before planning how to get the raw materials to feed it adequately, which would usually take 2 to 3 years or more to realise? Who pays for the 2-3years plus of interest and the additional cost of maintaining a more or less idle factory? Since sugarcane is a seasonal product, stocks of sugarcane are required to keep the factory running especially during the lean season. Are there any wise people in government?

As for JM, his victory is secured based on the fact that he is delivering on all his promises- 200 news SHS, 123 of them expected to be commissioned by close of the year though dozens have been commissioned already.

There is need for the publishers of this report to authenticate their story since there is an ongoing political wrangling about no sugar canes or sugar cane plantation to feed the sugar factory. Is it a privately owned sugar cane plantation or a cassava farm which is established by the enemies of progress to feed the factory ? We all need to know what is going on in Ghana because some war mongers are doing everything they can to plunge our country into civil war.
Just yesterday an opposition member sat at Adom fm studio and told us that there is not even a land acquired for the cultivation of sugar cane to feed the factory only to wake up the following morning to read about sugar cane plantation workers involved in ghastly accident. Something must be wrong. I am sure these are cassava farmers.

Some with three nuts on the wheels instead of five. Nothing is scrapped in this country, and until then, this sort of mishap will never seize.

Journalists, barely 24- hrs after the commissioning of the factory, informed Ghanaians that the factory has been closed for maintenance. Besides, there was no raw materials to feed it. So what were the workers to use the harvested sugarcane for? Is the harvested sugar-cane going to stay for the period of the maintenance before use? When did the sugar-cane mature to be harvested? We must be optimistic than always running down every efforts govts make to develop Ghana. Journalists have lost my respect for their anti-nationalistic reportage. There is no country we can call our own except Ghana so let us salvage it together. Governance is a process that needs all hands to be on deck to propel the nation forward. Politicisation of everything in Ghana must cease. Journalism must help to push society forward.
