The rancher said, "Okay , but don't go in that field over there.....", as he pointed out the location.

The DEA officer verbally exploded saying, " Mister, I have the authority of the Federal Government with me !"
Reaching into his rear pants pocket, he removed his badge and proudly displayed it to the rancher.
"See this badge?! This badge means I am allowed to go wherever I wish.... On anyland !!
No questions asked or answers given!! Have I made myself clear......do you understand ?!!"

The rancher nodded politely, apologized, and went about his chores.

A short time later, the old rancher heard loud screams, looked up, and saw the DEA officer running for his life, being chased by the rancher's big Santa Gertrudis bull......
With every step the bull was gaining ground on the officer, and it seemed likely that he'd sure enough get gored before he reached safety. The officer was clearly terrified.
The rancher threw down his tools, ran to the fence and yelled at the top of his lungs.....

On the other hand he cannot even deal with police internal corruption issues--ie DCOP Timbilla and the recruitment-gate matters, the disappearing of consificated cocaine in police custody, solving serious murder cold cases etc. As a typical Ghanaian "boss" he is kissing the arses of his political bosses to keep a job.
The police is a service and not a force, and it is high time the IGP is appointed through an open, competitive, politics free process to attract the best and brightest minds with good organisational skills to be IGP, as is done in some countries. In this case the prospective IGP may not necessarily be a serving policeman. Additionally were such a a selection path to be pursued, all snr. Police officers from the rank of DCOP (deputy commissioners of police) who have had at least 3 years regional command posts and equivalent, should be allowed to apply and compete for the vacant IGP posts, along with non-police applicants. One can bet from this pool of capable candidates Ghana can "score" a highly competent police IGP that will be the envy of many countries, not this "Woyome-like" current IGP who is more of brawns than brains, and a political mascot.

Why noT go ahead and give us a feel of what you intend to do right now. Let's see how serious your intentions are even if it means a 5 minute simulation exercise. Demonstrate it now and show Ghanaians you are tough.

I don't know if you understand the intricacies of your point. For me, my e-mail accounts alone are my No. 1 or primary social media networks and I have four of them. Which of these are you going to block? Then next comes my secondary social media networks like Twitter, etc. Do you know what you are talking about? Have you already made a list of social media available on the Internet yet? I have counted 40 already. Which of these are you banning?

You better take down the whole Internet and see if it won't affect your job that day as Ghana's leading police officer.

Looks like you have been doping on a mixture of all the CANNABINOIDS, OPIOIDS, HALLUCINOGENS, CLUB and DISSOCIATIVE DRUGS your boys are seizing from traffickers.

Mr. IGP, all peace loving Ghanaians are behind you. Because the Social Media has made communication between people easier, it is a double edged sword and a powerful tool. For example, it can be used to notify about impending or ongoing emergencies as we have witnessed here in the US. However it can also be used to spread false rumors to incite people to act criminally against imagined enemies including the law enforcement agencies as has happened elsewhere. Unfortunately the latter seems to be the intent of some NPP supporters and members including Kofi Jumah who has an alleged master's degree in education but couldn't get employment in one of the most liberal areas in terms of employment and pay: The State Departments of Education in New York and New Jersey. here in the US. Instead he was a yellow cab driver and an errand boy whenever Kuffour visited New Jersey before he became president. Like Kuffour, Kofi Jumah ran the finances of all the organizations Kuffour rewarded him to head into the ground.

I'm not looking down on yellow cab driving in the US but the drivers usually don't have marketable skills and are among the least educated. So it says a lot about someone who has a master's degree in education but stuck to his low-paying and back-breaking yellow cab driving: He didn't feel competent enough to go into a field his education had allegedly prepared him for because other people did his assignments and wrote his dissertation. In fact Kofi Jumah's pronouncements and job performance bear this out.

Was it not the NPP whose supporters attacked a private business facility on a rumor that the facility was intercepting and padding election results on behalf on the NDC during last elections? Was it not NPP whose now-deceased Chairman Obetsebi-Lamptey who nearly caused riots by "erroneously" announcing victory to his party members? Imagine if these "mistakes" had been duplicated by the NDC and both parties' acts and omissions had gone viral?

Mr. Kudalor, by bringing this subject up for discussion, you've shown that you're in tune with what's happening in policing and law enforcement around the world. That's leadership including professionalism and moral courage. Come decision time, the majority peace-loving Ghanaians know that as you've promised, you'll discharge your duties and responsibilities without any fear or favor with the leadership skills as practised by renowned business, political, and military leaders. The Lord will be with you.At the end of the day, a peaceful nation will be grateful.
