Do you think the unemployed ndc cronies who live at the tax payers expenses could ever near the thought of ndc losing power. It np wonder therefore that they are always ready to jump to the defense of the of the EC as if the EC equals Ndc. This has been so especially with people like mosquito, Anyidoho, atubiga and so on. They know very well that without the ndc being in power they cannot make it on their own, they would struggle like any other Ghanaian.

I listened to the interview and it was very apparent that the host did not allow him to complete some statements. Why he did that I do not know but it was clear that the host had space for improvement in his knowledge of the law. The guest wanted to offer free suggestion to the EC, then he cut him short with another question. What kind of host was that? The knowledge of the law of the interviewee was very profound which punched holes in that of the interviewer. The interviewer thoughT he could "catch" him but he woefully failed.

WE ALL LISTENED TO THE INTERVIEW AND I THINK THE HOST WAS BRILLIANT. SOME TIMES U COULD SENSE THAT HE WAS HOLDING BACK AND TRYING TO BE NICE. ON THE CONTRARY ATUGUBA MANAGED TO CONFUSE GHANAIANS AND HIMSELF. THESE ARE THE PEOPLE WHOSE POLITICAL LEANINGS HAVE STUPIDLY INFLUENCED THEM. HOW SAD. HE REFUSES TO UNDERSATND SIMPLE BASIC ENGLISH. HEY RAYMOND THIS IS AN ADULT WORLD U KNOW.
WE SHOULD NOT LISTEN TO NOR DIGNIFY SUCH MEANINGLESS LEGAL SUBMISSIONS.
WHAT WAS THIS DISHONEST INTELLECTUAL TRYING TO SAY TO HONEST REASONABLE GHANAIANS? SHAME ON THIS TWIT. THEY WILL EXPOSE THEMSELVES AND THEIR WICKED, BACKWARD, FOOLISH, SAD AND IGNORANT INTENTIONS. GOD IS AWAKE.

For your information Yaa-Yaa, EC does not work like the Chiefs, linguists or town cryers in Ashanti region or elsewhere so stop disgracing yourself.
The election is in November in the first place and this call is not one that EC planned for, even though they have that plan for the near future.
What you are asking for is possible but not like the way the Ebusiapayins and Chiefs ask gong gong beaters to call people. First those affected must be identified, second, an action plan must be hatched, then education of the masses nationally using the print, electronic and other media. Third those affected must be confirmed they are indeed the ones before removing and allowing re-registration.
Remember, this is not only Ashanti region; it is all regions. So the EC in its wisdom and experience are saying they are going to do just that but it might not be completed by November. So since there are many ways of confirming identity of these NHIS registered voters including Party agents and members of the community, what is available now is far better than nothing at all. The register or the elections will not be significantly affected period.
You see you talk about patriotism but forget that in all aspect of the county's issues, it should be Ghana first and not NPP, NDC or any other group first. So, NPP want it and NDC is saying no because of various confusion and violence that might come with it being election year and few months away; the recent registration proved it. So ask yourself again if you are asking NDC; 'WHY IS NPP ALSO BENT ON HAVING THIS DONE AND WHAT IS SO SCARY ABOUT IT IF NOT DONE AT THIS TIME SINCE THE SAME REGISTER WAS USED TO ELECT KUFFOUR, RAWLINGS, MILLS AND MAHAMA'?

Obviously you will not. But if you wanted to do a new degree at the university, you will not be admitted under the reviewed terms.
So yes you could have been allowed to vote in 2012 with those 'criteria' but to vote in 2016 you would have to be compliant with the reviewed 'criteria' to be eligible.
And this is irrespective of the fact that you were allowed to vote the last time - simply because the requirements have been altered and you must comply.
I hope you get it.
It is as simple as ABC.

The joke is rather on you. For your information some very intelligent students have sat in the classrooms of very dumb teachers. And unless you are not aligned to the legal fraternity you wouldn't understand why people make a lot of fuss about Nana Addo. If by your descripton he has achieved all what has been attributed to him then I'd rather have him than others who have certificates but not matched by deeds in practice.
Go to the Ghana law school library and search for entries by Akuffo Addo in the Ghana Law Reports. He is one of Ghana's most foremost contributors to the law and a formiddable one at that.
I'm sure some of his most pronounced contributions affect some aspects of your simple everday life but like a lot of most lay Ghanaians they are not aware. So you should be thankful to the short man.
And don't be bamboozled by qualifications rather be impressed by deeds. It is the reason our country is as it is.
I can understand why Nana wants to make good education a top priority in his administration if he gets a chance. Its because of folk like you and there are too many. A vote for Nana is a vote for your own self development. There are too many buffoons in Ghana, I hope God strengthens his hands.
Say Amen!!!

Dr.Raymond Atugubah, please don't digress the argument. The SC held the view that the 2012 Voter
Register as it is now, is not reasonable accurate or credinle for the general elections in 2016 and as such directed EC, the mandated body, to take steps immediately and delete or clean the names of registrants who did not establish qualifications to be in the register and afterword give them an opportunity to register. The dead might have established qualification before but need no registration, the underage lied of the qualifications, which is creminal. The concern of Ghanaians is; what is the EC doing to produce reasonable accurate or credible Voter Register to facilitate free and fair elections in 2016. Your grama needs not know whether Abu Ramadan was in court to demand a cleaner register.

The NHIS Cards are issued not on partisan political basis. Are holders of NHIS Card deemed enemies of one particular party and sympathizers of others? When NHIS cards are not used to vote but a means to obtaining the credible Voters I.D cards, unless holders of the NHIS card may have a very strong propensity to vote for one party against the other the argument will be very shallow indeed. In most African countries, the credible proof of identity which is Birth Certificate is obtained by self-certification. If, birth certificate and utility bills all pass as valid proof of I.D in obtaining the Voters I.D why the urgency in putting the E.C through this expensive process within such a short time frame?
