NPP ECG Staff doing that to indirectly raise money for the NPP party. Are you surprised? If a party can go to the extent of selling scratch card to Ghanaians, get money from head potters(Kayayes) and open a secret account to steal money into, what else can't they do? They have infiltrated ECG and bought the minds of weak staff to do their diabolic work for them.

AUTHOR: YAW-----When one hears the likes of Anyidoho,Kofi Adams,Asiedu Nkatiah,Ofosu Kwakye, Twum Boafo, Solomon Nkansah, Bokor and the rest of these NDC small minds saying Nana Addo or for that matter NPP has no message, you wonder whether they understand or know what they're talking about or like Dr.Bawumia rightly pointed out, they don't read. How many of NPP'S policies and plans have they tried to steal only to fumble and made mess with due to their lack of knowhow. Why does this Anyidoho keep embarrassing himself with baseless utterances? Politics is a dirty game they say but for anybody to state that Nana Akufo Addo Danquah or NPP has no message is laughable and stupidity to the highest degree.

Interesting that the very people who said "electricity tariffs are higher than rent and so what" are now saying the government has been fighting ECG over the bills. Who are they deceiving?

It's neither faulty meters nor faulty software. It's plain, systematic theft from the honest consumer who is caught in the ECG system. Both pre- and post-payers are being ripped off. The likelihood of the victims being reimbursed or compensated later is zero. Now Mahama is looking into it there is some slight possibility of the thefts being stopped.

President John Mahama had said on several platforms, including the floor of Parliament, that Ghanaians must now be ready to pay higher or realistic electricity tariffs to save the energy sector and went ahead to introduce the energy sector levy bill which the majority NDC in Parliament embraced and voted overwhelmingly for its passage, even when “we in the minority strongly spoke against it and said it will put more burden on Ghanaians and so why are the NDC MPs now crying wolf? They should stop shedding crocodile tears for suffering Ghanaians.”

If the eloquent Mahama's message then meant what the NPP understand it to be, he wouldn't have bordered. But you see how good a listener he is and a problem solver he is, he is tackling it head on. Teach your NPP followers the use of dictionary so as not to be disgracing themselves in public and on media platforms like GHANAWEB.

A poor man in Ghana can't afford a hall and a chamber: just for the laughs. The bottom line is, some folks at the ECG are stealing with the blessing of some big folks out there. Wake up dead goat president and fire those involved. Spare no bones in the name of party loyalty. A thief is a thief and will forever be a thief. Tomorrow, they will be armed robbing us not with mere guns but, topedos and drone carrying missile launchers. You know how we Ghanaians are. We take advantage to inflict more pain if and when we can get away with doing it. Pull the trigger and we scatter like bats. Mr president, this is your time to prove you're in charge. We will forgive you if you even slap them in front of the TV cameras for all to see.

In the more civilized countries of this world, large companies worry about their reputations. If you go to work for a large utility company in the US or UK, management sensitises you to avoid certain behaviors in the discharge of your work, which will bring disgrace and ill repute to the organisation. In Ghana, management actually encourages fraud against their customers. What needs to happen is for a class action lawsuit against the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG), as a corporate entity, the CEO of ECG, the Chief Financial Officer of ECG, the Chief Auditor of ECG, severally and collectively, in the corporate capacities as well as individually, for at least 1 trillion cedis for conspiracy to commit fraud and committing fraud on the Ghanaian customers. If convicted, the personal assets of the aforementioned corporate officers should be confiscated to pay for any judgment rendered. The decision to steal from its customers by ECG and it's corporate officers has been wilful and wanton. Any other participants in this conspiracy should be added to the case. The suppliers of the meters which allow such stealing by this company, as well as ANY IT employees who may have facilitated the theft of customer money. It is obvious that ECG does not care for its reputation. It is a monopoly of the worst kind - a government monopoly. ECG exists in a country where people don't have the balls to insist on being treated fairly and where everybody is stealing from everybody else! A utility monopoly ripping off its customers is intolerable! !!!!
