Steadily ECG is being forced into a corner. The scale of the fraud is just beginning to emerge. Desperate now, they are saying anything that comes to mind, so long as they stay off the hook. Only in Ghana!

Why not use Ethernet Controlled, internet Controlled Meters? Remote reading of the meters is what needs to be done. You can easily catch meters that are unauthorized by simply rotating the per ...

Why not use Ethernet Controlled, internet Controlled Meters? Remote reading of the meters is what needs to be done. You can easily catch meters that are unauthorized by simply rotating the personnel that do meter reading and not assigning them to specific areas!

Mahama himself, Kofi Adams and Kwasi Pratt have all come to realize that the electricity bills are outrageous. People are not asking for free electricity but they want to pay according to how much they use. Is it a crime to demand that?

So, staff of ECG stole these meters, installed it for customers, charged them, pocketed the monies and the general population of Ghana would have to pay for the free power the thieves enjoy.

ECG should set up a reward for persons who report such stolen and unapproved meters. The reward should come from surcharges and reconnection fees. Wake Up ECG

The solution is simple. If you identify an unbillable meter through your billing system, shut that meter down. What is so complicated about that. You already have a count unless if some officials are behind it. Corruption all ...

You are correct but I know where to look first. Just check all the government officials....judges...police.... Thats where 90% of the meters are....and end with the employees of the electric company...you'll find 100%.

Why are they not taking advantage of proper technology? Who went for that bogus billing software to sabotage Mahama? For one and a half good months even though they realized the billing software was faulty they sat in their offices without doing anything to resolve the problem. If this is not sabotage, what else is? Their political collaborators must be fished out.

These thefts not only prevent the ECG from upgrading its equipment, but also impacts service delivery to its customers. These same people who are stealing power from ECG are the first to criticize the government for hiking electricity tariffs.

The staff and the contrators to ECG are thieves and i am sure of what i am saying. We all know this. How can i have an documented meters installed in the system? Those in charge for registration of meters must be held accountable. They are running the systems like their own property. So what do we expect? Even this is just the begining. I believe there are a lot of rotten elements in the system. They are still running the company as if we are still in the 40s. They intentionally create loop holes in the procedures to follow for their own evil intentions. The contractors to ecg do have their own meters for customers. Probably they imported them on the tag of government. Otherwise how can we come to this level if ECG is the only issuer of our meters? Many ghanains are just thieves. That is just it.

As for paliament, not until someone starts killing ECG workers, they will not stop them milking Ghanaians. Utilities are more expensive than abroad but daily wage is just 8 cedis (2 dollars) whiles hourly wage in UK is around 10 pounds. How stupid Can this gouvernement be comparing Ghana utility prices to advance world?

Well, we are still in danger because of the new smart meters that are being introduced in the system. Our lives are totally in danger because of the high radiation those smart meters generate. We are no longer safe in our homes and work places anymore. Our health are in serious danger. We should all know that within some few years, cancer will be come like the way we contract malaria....These meters have been rejected in most of the advanced countries such USA and Germany by some users because they know the harm these meters will case to their health. Lets stop ECG from installing these meters my following Ghanaian.

Go to Airport Hills Community and check. Many of the residents or houses there are using such meters and they are not billed. ECG you are a liability to yourself
