24 hours security where? I encountered an MP minister recently who drove to a hotel for a programme in broad day light without a driver or a security detail. He sat in the hotel lobby and was served tea before the programme started. Putting politics aside, an NPP minister would have come there with no less than 2 armed police guards, a special assistant, a driver and a dispatch rider.

Every single minister has two police officers guarding his house( 1 for day & 1 for night) & one police officer as a bodyguard. Only an interior minister can use a dispatch rider to wk. The police administration has a unit of abt 500 police officers called NATIONAL PROTECTION UNIT that guards ministers & their Dep., supreme court justices, the Vice Prez & past Prez.

Kakra, every minister has the right to send or not to send his/her bodyguard where he or she goes. So maybe he or she chose not to send his/her bodyguard. What u must learn from today is that, every single minister has 2 police officers guarding his/her residence (1 for day & 1 for night) and one police officer as a bodyguard. Only an interior minister has the right to use a police dispatch rider to work. The police administration has a unit made of 500 highly trained police officers called NATIONAL PROTECTION UNIT (NPU) that guard ministers & their Dep., the vice Prez, supreme court justices & past presidents. This unit is also under national security. So they make sure any minister is adequately protected.

Some of these ministers dnt even give common water to these officers.

Bad guys among them, but generalise peoples behaviour in such an institution is also bad, after all ministers are provides with police guards and how many times has he heard police on guard duty stole from them. There may be one or two incidents but such hasty generalisation is not logic.

We are already crying over our bleeding economy and at the same time requesting the state to preferentially protect the lives of some few greedy politicians who are amassing wealth illegally at the expense of the poor tax payer. What are they doing with their fat and juicy salaries including the uncountable incentives ? Instead of using the money they steal from the national coffers to protect themselves, they rather buy expensive cars for girls with big hairy pussies like virgin forest. Are we all not Ghanaians ? Why should some be protected and others be left unprotected ? Most policemen turn out to informants who condone and connive with the men of the
underworld to commit heinous crimes such as murder, rape and so on. Assigning a ghanaian policeman to protect an MP is like assigning a womaniser to be your wife 's bodyguard. Uncle Kwesi is perfectly right.

Mr. Pratt why are you behaving that all Police Officers are thieves. If you are against protecting the MPs let the whole Ghanaian Populace know but by disgracing the police as a whole is not good. Fine I do agree with you that some of the policemen are thieves and this comes from the way they were recruited where you politicians will not allow the Police Administration the free hand to do their work. All the thieves in the Police Service are the relatives of the politicians who brought them into the service to steal and disgrace the noble service. May God have mercy to the Police Administration.
