The following Sunday, the church was all but empty. Accordingly, the pastor placed a notice in the local newspapers, stating that because the church was dead, it is everyone’s duty to give it a decent Christian burial. The funeral would be held the following Sunday afternoon, the notice stated.

Morbidly curious, a large crowd turned out for the “funeral.” In front of the pulpit, they saw a closed casket, smothered with flowers. After the pastor delivered the eulogy, he opened the casket and invited his congregation to come forward and pay their final respects to their dead church.

Filled with curiosity as to what would represent the corpse of a “dead church”, all the people lined up to look into the casket. Each “mourner” peeped into the casket then quickly turned away with a guilty, sheepish look.

In the casket, tilted at the correct angle, was a large mirror!

Ghanaians can brag and inflate prices to create names for themselves.
I have doubt as to what the price of that casket would be from the manufacturing company in Indiana. People could brag and make others believe they paid this and that..to create wrong impression to the Ghanaian public....
It could even come out that if the company that produce this casket is called.....that casket won't cost half the price of what its been claimed to be it value.
Ghanaians can be easy swayed...when it comes to....lies....believes..... And rumour...speculation.
I have seen Ghanaians bragging and believing whatever they are told without verification
Some people living overseas..have returned to Ghana to brag they are worth this and that abroad and Ghanaians without verifications..believe those people..only to find out later that the claims by those so called rich ain't worth anything in the countries they lived.I won't mention names..but a lot of those who brag ain't worth what they claim to be.
They have only sweet sugar coated mouths.
Finally $30,000 may sound a lot in Ghana..but do most Ghanaians know how much it cost to bring a dead body home for burial including flight cost and funeral homes expenses? Some families spend more than $30,000 to bring their departed relatives home..but never brag about the cost...
They just swallow whatever they spent.
Others who want publicity and be talk about would trumpet out how much they are worth..
A lot of times...it comes out later that all that glitters is not gold.
Well having said that.. May the souls of all those departed rest in peace..hoping we all meet on the resurrection day...amen.
