I can say Asante people are quite arrogant but when it comes to being accommodating, especially to people from other tribes, they are the best in Ghana. Live with some indigenous Asante people and you will understand me. Go to any place in Ashanti region and you can have people from different tribes who have lived there for decades and even take such towns as their hometowns. Yes, like any tribe, you can have a few who are disrespectful but on the whole, they are nice and do not discriminate. When Kutu wanted to start with his Union Government, though he was an Asante, his greatest opposition came from his own Asante people. They can say it as it is.

Simply, Kutu Acheampong was seen by the Ashantis who are his kins men, as a spoiler and so they didn't forgive him. Guess what! Who led the No side when Kutu wanted the Union gov't? It was Afrififa and Paa Willie of all people... so u see on the Ashanti side it was the same back stabber who organised and kille Kotoka and others in COLD BLOOD to give the seat to a Ga, called Ankrah who they saw as no threat to their agenda of foisting an Akan gov't on Ghana eventually, and that I what they did until Gen. Kutu Acheapong depose them from power smartly. Yes, I am old enough to know the overthrow of Nkrumah and the murder of Kotoka which is believed to have been masterminded by his own friend Afrifa. When it comes to that, then we are talking about politics and ideology. What I was talking about is how hospitable their nature is. Live with the indegenes and you will see how kind they are. I know their dark side too, especially when they see themselves as the best which I see as not a crime. But in all sincerity, they are also the ones who will help you in your direst needs. They are also the type who will even testify against their own kin even at the court. This is not common with other tribes. When my father taught at Wiamoase in 1966, we are not from the town but my family was adopted by the community and we became part of them.

Nana ,in his response to the question, implied that he is coming , if given the mandate, to develop all areas -regions, districts, cities, towns and villages irrespective of tribe or ethnicity. Unlike Mahama, who gives promises that cannot be fulfilled, Nana is more cautious not to be seen as tribalistic or favouring a tribe or region. The fact is, all parts of Ghana should be developed equally. For example, in Europe all the areas are developed almost equally. The cities are not very different to the villages. Also, if the eastern corridor road is completed it will serve as an alternative road from Accra to the north. In the same way, Volta river transport will benefit Eastern, Ashanti, Volta, Bono Ahafo and the 3 northern regions economies. The benefits of these projects will be employment, industrial and agricultural growth good for the whole country and not necessarily Volta region alone. Ghana's scarce resources should be shared equitably.

Yes ofcourse, it was the NPP under Kuffour that made Ewes feel srtangers on their own land. It was Nana Addo who called all Voltarians Togolese. It was Nana Addo who wanted dead bodies to be scattered in Volta Region to pave way for annulling their votes in 2008. And it was Nana Addo who through Dr Pink sheets Bawumia wanted to annul the votes of Volta Region in the Supreme Court petition. It is the same Nana Addo and Bawumia who went to bring a fake electoral register from nowhere else than Togo to prove that Ewes are Togolese. What else do you need as proof that you have already set your discrimination machine in motion?

Hey, Nana will say anything to get votes, but once he is on the seat, he will show you that he has an unforgiving heart. Remember that he wanted nothing to do with the likes of Alan Cash and Adae Nimo simply because they contested the flagbearership of the NPP with him. Unbelievable! Then he went on to remove Paul Afoko and Kwabena Agyepong illegally because he cannot work with people who will query or criticise him. Ghana does not need such a vindictive and cantankerous leader. In any case, the NPP is a party of old school dinosaurs , many of whom are not abreast with the modern computer and technological trends or advances. All countries are moving forward and we cannot afford to be going backwards merely because of an individual's inordinate and desperate quest to rule.

Clueless Akufo-Addo has hijacked the NPP for his selfish sense of entitlement, believing that he's entitled to be President because his daddy and relatives once graced the political scenes of Ghana. Yes a change is coming, but only with the NPP being given a chance for new and pragmatic leadership.
