This makes no sense. To borrow money at a higher rate in Euros and then convert into Cedis to lie idle earning less rate than you borrowed....for what exactly.

Some of you looking to waive this away by looking at Bawuima need to explain why a so called (but absolutely not) competent government is doing this nonsensical thing. Do you know how much interest we are accruing on this loan just to sit in a commercial bank idle.

Please people let’s open our eyes and stop this personality politics. If you don’t like NPP or love NPP the incompetence of the government is clear to see. It’s not even an issue of being NDC or NPP it’s do Ghanaians want competent leaders in power.

Ghanaians should stop crying why Ghana is corrupt and politicians don’t work for improving the country....... it’s as clear as day.....

Can't interest be made on the money at the bank of Ghana? So we now know what was behind the new bank of Ghana governor appointment. Mahama needed someone who can help him STEAL OUR MONEY QUIETLY.

This shadow minister comes out to really give out FACTS AND TRUTHS (at least in his opinion and that of the serious and honest economists within NPP)and normally gives suggestions and reasons for his statements. However this shadow minister, also with Phd and educated at Havard- a fine gentleman keeps mute over the lies of Bawumia.This gentleman, who was also a former fin. minister in the NPP govt.,and also a well reputed economist would not stoop so low to peddle such lies because he knows exactly the technicalities involved handling the financies of the country! In short, one would have expedcted that he handles the economic aspects of whatever agenda or campaign strategies of the NPP at this crucial period!
