My friend, Dr.h.h. (honoris causa) has nothing to do with academic performance and it may be awarded to any person including people who have not attended any school at all. They are awarded to people who have achieved some great feat for the society they live within, not ncessesarily in the academic field.

For instance, Osei Kwame (Despte) has been awarded a Ph D, although he has a mere Middle School Leaving Certificate. Meanwhile he was awarded just because he is a businessman and has money to pay for the degree.

Those degrees are not academic but honorary and holders CANNOT quote them on their CV because it is not a professional degree.

In fact, these days there are many internet link that direct you to where you may purcase you Dr title, if you want.
