God is able. He is there in His Kingdom. He made everything perfect and gave it to mankind to have dominion over it. He told us to use our brains to make it livable or ruin it. That are our choices. The African has chosen the line of destruction. Patriotism doesn't exist in the African vocabulary. God does not do politics. We know the looters and then we close our eyes and want God to change them. It doesn't work that way because God helps those who helps themselves.
When it's time for us to bell the cat, we turn to prayers. Nope!! bell the cat. Not until we all realise this, the looter will always have a field day when our eyes are firmly shut seeking divine intervention. Poor souls.

In the broader scope, it is about how the NDC is #ChangingLives and #TransformingGhana through their initiatives such as the "Onuador medical outreach vans which are providing health care to people in the deprived areas. Government has admitted that it cannot quantify the total number of jobs it has created since 2013.

Despite releasing a statement pointing out several job creation initiatives, Deputy Communications Minister Ato Sarpong conceded that it does not know how many jobs this initiative has created.

One of the initiatives brought under scrutiny in the interview on Joy FM's Top Story was an education intervention program to distribute free school uniforms.

“If we invest some money in getting two million uniforms, that is definitely going to fuel employment in a certain sector of the economy”, the deputy minister responsed to Joy News’ Evans Mensah's demand for specifics.

According to the statement, the largest job-creation sector is in the construction industry where government says heavy investment in social infrastructure has created employment for more than 400,000 professionals.

In an extensive list, Communications minister revealed that the Youth In Agriculture programme employed 23,000 youth in 2013.

Under the Free Zones Board, a total of 69 companies were established between 2013 and 2015, leading to the employment of 16,372 people.

In another example, the statement said the Micro Finance and Small Loan Centre (MASLOC) has advanced micro credit to a total of GHC190,607 beneficiaries by 2015. But it could not state how many jobs these disbursements have created.

The Skills Development Fund, implemented by COTVET, has disbursed GHC150 million to 654 businesses, although its website states 170 which government explained that some reconciliation has to be done.

Although the statement claimed the job figures put out there are verifiable, it ended without the total number of jobs generated by government. Joy News however estimates 800,000 jobs in more than three years.

Defending the statement, Ato Sarpong said, despite a lack of a definite figure, it is still important for the public to know the job-creation initiatives introduced by government.
“The fact that we have not been able to tabulate numbers, verify and audit it and establish that this is an absolute number does not mean that we should not put the information out there….it is part of the policy of accounting to the people”.

An absolute number would have to be confirmed or denied by Labour and Ghana Statistical Service, he directed.

In 2015, the syndicated loan for cocoa purchases yielded US$1.8 billion under the NDC. Thus, govt was able to invest some the receipt in the subsidizing the price of fertilizers for cocoa farmers. in essence #Changing their #lives

There is corruption and thievery everywhere. Look at what they have done to NHIS. Top officials have stolen from NHIS to build mansions and bought expensive cars for themselves. They were arrested by BNI but are freed because they are NDC members.

Can't wait for NPP to win in November so that all those that have stolen from Ghana are jailed.

You cannot compare apples with rotten oranges. Ndc and the NPP are not the same. Ndc mismanaged the economy so badly during the Rawlings era, late Prof. Mills said he was not worried he did not win the 2000 elections. There was no money with which the in coming administration, will use to run the government. Late Selormey, the then deputy of minister of finance and Spio Garbrah, said almost the same thing. The Ndc was then running the economy, when their own party members made the statements. They knew the rot that has taken place in government at the time. Therefore, technically, Ghana was HIPC before Kufuor came into office. Kufuor was honest and said it as it is. The NPP led by Kufuor, clawed back from the useless position that the country was in then, to a more decent economy after eight years. Come another Ndc administration, they are doing what they know best. Recklessness and corruption have taken hold of everyone in government, as a result, we are heading back to the hole, before Kufuor and the NPP came to the rescue. Dr. Ndoum is right in what he has said.

Kufour administration to loot has neccesitated NDC borrowing which a normal and civil practice than you people(NPP+you Ndum stealing) and bidding illgotten cash in offshore accounts.In your private business now if you squandered all you cash and reserves and hand it over to your son won't he borrow as a law abiding son?Get out there,you would have been better off politically if you had remained with CPP and supported Samoa Nkrumah.Stomach/business politician.

Poor Nduom. Nduom and President Kufuor had no clue as to how to go about strengthening the nation's economy, hence the Kufuor administration declared HIPC status on Ghana, and the administration borrowed from every quarter. Now Nduom is claiming prior NDC administrations caused the Kufuor government to declare Ghana a HIPC nation. And again, Nduom states the current NDC government is driving Ghana back into HIPC status. Nduom's claims are mere lame duck excuses for the failures of the Kufuor government, and an attempt to muddy the current government with unfounded claims.
