Thinking outside the box means simply that there is always two or more sides of an issue and you have to explore,analyze and take perspective view of these other sides to draw an informed conclusion.

You did not comprehend the import of the matter, hence your bias conferral to the story. First of all, Mr. Paul Essien has no right whatsoever to gather his executives to go and spray cocoa farms in the Jomoro District since it's not his duty to do such. Instead, he should have echoed the concerns of the farmers in parliament on their behalf to force the Cocoa Board's Task Force to do their job effectively and on time in that district.

Now, due to his political proclivity like yourself and obviously going for glory, he took that mandate upon himself so as to propagate about it later and shame Cocoa Board under this administration for some political hurrah. However, he ended up distributing the wrong chemicals to the farmers just for political sublimity. That, friend, is what's at stake.

A similar scenario to that of Bawumia's donation of chairs to a particular school in the Upper West fiasco.

The said farms are not State farms but for individuals so why should the police arrest them? Was it order from above. Spare Ghana arbitrary arrests as it happened at Nkrumah's time. Ghana is democratic and not a Police state like North Korea.

To the NPP yahoos in here, Mr. Paul Essien was simply playing the good Samaritan role before the farmer, whilst to Mr. Paul Essien on the other hand, it's politics as usual at the very hindsight of the farmers. A smart political move on his selfish behalf.

The Office of Hon. Paul Essien, NPP parliamentary candidate for Jomoro Constituency has been drawn to a news item on social media to the effect that Hon
Paul Essien, NPP parliamentary candidate for 2016 has been arrested for sharing fake chemicals to cocoa farmers in the Jomoro Constituency.

On record, hon. Paul Essien has not been arrested on any grounds neither has any of the Jomoro NPP executives been arrested or at the police custody as claimed by our opponents.
BARE FACTS
As part of hon. Paul Essien and the New Patriotic Party's policies and programs towards winning 2016 general election for the first time in Jomoro, we have added to our programs, to undertake a free mass spraying for all cocoa farmers within the Jomoro Constituency, a policy that the Mahama-led NDC government has abandoned for the last 3yrs. Ever since we started meeting the cocoa farmers, we realised that the NDC chairman and his Communication director have started spreading falsehood that Hon. Paul Essien can't spray the cocoa farms. Again, there was an Intel from a secret NDC meeting that, immediately after the we have sprayed the farms, they will also spray the farms with chemicals that will destroy the farms. The party and Hon. Paul Essien decided to share the chemicals to the farmers with two (2) or three (3) spraying machines in every community to assist them in spraying their farms.

On Monday, 18th April, 2016, a team led by the Jomoro NPP Constituency organizer visited a community called Soudadzim to distribute the said Cocoa chemical called LAMBDA Super 2.5 EC, which was purely recommended by the farmers themselves, with its purpose of fighting against Insecticides on the cocoa plantation. Few minutes after our arrival from the supply, a police van including the NDC chairman, Gideon and his Communication Director, Patrick Ellonu confronted us with a complaints bearing the identities of the NDC Chairman and his Communication director that Hon. Paul Essien and Jomoro NPP executives are distributing fake chemicals.

Because of NPPs believe in rule of law and our trust in the nations security service, the chairman and the organiser led the team to the police station. At the station, the police commander opted for a test from the Agric Extension Officer of which the officer never mentioned anything relating to a fake chemical. Then the Commander opted for a second opinion by forwarding the said chemical, LAMBDA SUPER 2.5 EC to other nearby agric extension officers for their views.

These are the bare facts of the matter and at the moment, we are waiting for the report from the nearby extension officers and the Police commander and we hope that cocoa farmers in Jomoro will have their farms sprayed by Hon. Paul Essien and the Jomoro NPP just as promised.

Indeed, Hon. Paul Essien and the New Patriotic Party in Jomoro are not happy with this delay tactics of this Incompetent Jomoro NDC chairman and his cohorts since its getting to the raining season and cocoa farmers must spray their farms earlier. Aside this delay, hon. Paul is assuring farmers in Jomoro, a successful mass spraying.

Any agrochemicals that can be used to spray tomatoes and pepper can be used on cocoa. Are they not pesticides? Tomatoes absorbs more chemicals than cocoa that is why we use less poisonous chemicals on vegetables. Arresting this NPP man is madness in the highest standards.
