The US Ambassador mentioned something about foreign policy and politics and the fact that it should be apolitical and a have a bipartisan focus and regrets it has taken a political dimension. And that set me thinking to understand why John Mahama unilaterally took that decision against all odds and thus making it a political decision and attempting to pitch through propaganda, the NPP and Akufo Addo against the US Ambassador and the US. Was that political decision perhaps taken by John Mahama with the understanding, for an election that he has lost, the US Ambassador and the US were through some machinations, whether conceived or contrived, going to help his gov't and its fortunes, at the polls in November, when the expectation of the US Ambassador and the US was that, it should have involved bipartisanship and it is assumed the US policy is not to interfere or meddle in the local politics of their host countries? Could it be John Mahama took that decision to protect his Presidency when everything pointed to the fact he had lost the elections and therefore putting the lives of Ghanaians in jeopardy as a result of the heightened terrorist threat in this country? The question then becomes to what extent will John Dramani Mahama personally go to put the lives of Ghanaians at risk to protect his presidency knowing he has lost the elections, with the benefit of the knowledge of the circumstances surrounding the Ebola epidemic? If this decision taken by John Mahama unilaterally to host the detainees was to unconsciously leverage that to protect his presidency which he has lost, when the expectation of the US Ambassador was a bipartisan approach to hosting the detainees, then that would be most unfortunate and very disturbing.
In any case, the Ambassador has corroborated the position of Akufo Addo to the effect he was informed on the transfer upon consultation with the Foreign Min. after the decision had already been made.

S., Ambassador goofed. Would you and others stop talking about this sensitive issue. The Ghana government and other 54 nations who have accepted to host these people know very well why they did so. First and foremost, these people are human being just like you. So, stop talking about something that you do not know or have a clue about. This is my point.

2. He not knowing anything about it at all until the media brohaha.
According to him he did not know about it at all, and that is the concern of a section of Ghanaians, whether he lied or not.

Daasebre Yeboah- Asuanah, being an American Ambassdor do not him an expert in the use of the Queen's Langue, since most Americans don't speak good English. I live in California, I attended an adult school and proceeded to college where I graduated with two AS Degrees in Construction and Building Safety & Code Administration. Simultaneously in four and half years.
Inform and consult are some of the words that most Americans would find hard to distinguish, choose or explain. Not only that, some words like to, too, two, where, who, when,here, there, they, their, them and the likes are very hard to be comprehended by most Americans.
At the Fresno City College where l took construction classes, l had problems with my English instructor on some grammatical expressions. On the third encounter, which was the final, the instructor had to call another instructor to read what we were arguing about. When I started to explain and express in the myself on the subject in the Queen's Language, the invited instructor cut me off and asked where l was from? I answered Ghana, one of the former British colonies.
The invitee instructor turned to my instructor and said "this guy knows what he is talking about, you better leave him alone"
This is to not chest out that I'm the best, but when it comes to the usage of the Queen's Language most Americans fall short, like this Ambassador.

We consult others to seek their opinion and we inform people of a decision already made. That Nancy will never buy into it a cent because her mind is bloated.

Involving such delicate issues, all major role players must, for the sake of diplomatic courtesy be informed. Their consent or otherwise is immaterial. It is the one/those at the helm of government whose decision becomes paramount. The objection of anyone outside the inner circle would have been an exercise in futility.
