Glo 'Twin Bash' gives subscribers 600% benefits on recharge

Glo Mobile is offering its subscribers 600 percent value for every data recharge made on the network following the launch of a new product called, Twin Bash.

The new product enables subscribers to purchase data bundles directly with a recharge voucher and enjoy enormous benefits which include 200% value for the data recharge, 100% value for voice calls to any network in Ghana, 300% bonus airtime to call 10 friends and family and an additional 100% data value for gifting to friends and associates.

It is the first time this is being introduced in Ghana, and according to Glo Mobile, it is aimed at rewarding subscribers for choosing and staying with the network.

Head of Business at Glo Mobile, Mr. Augustine Mamuro, who announced this in Accra on Monday, described the product as “an exciting novelty in the Ghana market, as subscribers will enjoy an innovation which no other network is currently offering.”

“Glo is giving free voice bonuses along with data bundles. As at today, no other operator in Ghana is giving free voice bonus in addition to data bundle,” Mr. Mamuro said.

Describing how it works, Mr. Mamuro said that once subscribers recharge their lines by dialling *127*PIN#, they will get instant 200 percent data bundle value. In addition, they will get100 percent bonus airtime that can be used to make calls to any number in Ghana.

They will also get the 300 percent bonus to call 10 Family & friends numbers on the Glo network. These benefits are capped with an additional 100 percent data gift that the subscriber can give out to anyone on the Glo network.

Before now, subscribers could only purchase data bundles by first loading airtime onto their lines and then sending a code to activate the data package of their choice.

“But now with Twin Bash, a customer has the option of purchasing data bundles of their choice directly with a corresponding recharge voucher, and they will at the same time be credited with bonus airtime for making calls. All the subscriber needs to do is to buy a recharge card and load the data by dialling *127*PIN # to enjoy Twin Bash benefits”, said Mr Mamuro.

In essence, subscribers can now get data bundles in a fast, convenient and reliable manner, eliminating the need to first of all load the main account before subscribing for data, said Mr. Mamuro, who also added that Twin Bash is available on all the different recharge denominations of Glo including GHc 1, GHc 2, GHc 5, GHc 10, GHc 20 and GHc 50.

A subscriber who loads GHc 1 gets 80MB data value and also instantly gets GHc1 bonus for voice call and another GHc3 to call 10 Family & Friends numbers. This also comes with an extra 40MB data for gifting to any Glo number the subscriber chooses. A subscriber who loads GHc 2 also gets 160MB data and GHc2 bonus airtime for calls and also gets GHc 6 to call 10 Family & Friends numbers. Another 80MB data gift is also included in this recharge, which the subscriber is allowed to give out as gift to any other Glo subscriber.

Similarly, a GHc 5 recharge gets the subscriber 400MB data, GHc 5 bonus for voice calls and GHc 15 to call 10 Family & Friends numbers.

This also comes with another 200MB of data which is meant to be gifted to another Glo subscriber. For GHc10, the recharge immediately fetches 1000MB data for the subscriber, a GHc 10 airtime bonus for voice calls and another GHc 30 bonus for calls to 10 Family and Friends. The subscriber also gets a further 500MB data that can be gifted to another Glo subscriber.

A GHc20 subscription automatically earns for the subscriber a 2400MB data, another GHc20 airtime bonus to call any network, GHc60 to call 10 Family & Friends numbers and additional 1200MB for data gifting to another Glo subscriber of his/her choice.

The GHc50 biggest recharge card gives a whopping 8000MB data and with it, a GHc50 bonus airtime to call any network, an additional GHc150 to call 10 Family & Friends numbers and a further bonus of 4000MB data that the subscriber can give out as gifts to any other Glo subscriber.

The voice bonus can be used to call any network in Ghana and will be charged at Gp25/min. Calls will be charged on per second basis. Bonus balance can be checked by dialing *124*4#.

Mr. Mamuro said the company is investing enormous resources on its network upgrade to guarantee significant improvement in the quality of voice and data service.
