They are the thieves who import but pay little or no tax, agents of corrupt politicians, secure gov lucrative contracts but have no tools and skills for the job, etc. These are the nation wreckers that are our enemies.
My worry is that: Why do we allow few thieves(leaders) to walk over the rest of us same way traditional leaders walked over our ancestors and even sold some of them into slavery?

Kwasi Nduom is right is saying successfully people are run down in Ghana. However it it is not only successfully business people who are the targets of Ghanaians but anyone who is successful or perceived to be successful. The phenomena comes from envy and it is a world wide phenomenon. There is something called the "politics of envy" in the western countries, in which politicians use successful people as a target in getting the less successful people in a community to vilify. In some cases, the methods which a successful person has used to acquire wealth lends credence to the vilification.

How many business men and women can be counted as doing enough to help save this God-forsaken, corrupt country from poverty. Ghana has an abundance of individual rich people ready to invest in foreign assets abroad, most of the so-called wealthy business persons in Ghana to-day have greater portions of their investments abroad anyway. No body in Ghana currently has time to rundown the so-called successful, selfish business persons. What has being successful in business got to do with the day to day concerns of the average Ghanaian people on the street, determined to find out where their next daily bread can be found. Who has time for your success in business to run it down, Mr Nduom?

Irresponsible childish break away with a funny PPP.In fact 2016 would have seen CPP in the Flagstaff House but because of you Ndum and Abu Sakara, all of you appeared from no where to take advantage the poor financial status of beloved CPP and rendered it to perpetual opposition. It is my prayer and dream to see prof. For merger of PNC,pick Bernard Monah,Dr .Gyeder, and more than 4 others from PNC in terms of regional balance to form the merger EXECUTIVES and I tell you NDC and unpatriotic Npp will be in opposition so that Nkrumah Liman's vision will be accomplished to raise the image of Ghanaians and give hope to Ghana's future generations.Where are Akosa,Samoa,Dr Gyeder,Bernard Monah,Lawyer Akwetey and the rest to start the match for us to display civil political skills.

In fact I admire people like you for your tenacity in sticking out with your businesses in Ghana. Most of the comments above testify to your statement.
I was a victim of such attacks and vilifhications when I relocated to Ghana in 1995 to set up a business. I was frustrated, experienced bottlenecks within the bureaucratic system from civil servants as well as some of my employees who stole from me including my own relatives. Eventually after 5 years of this debacle I returned to the uk. Am doing quite well here- although am a foreigner, I have been able to set up a thriving business here. My experiences in Ghana have taught me a bitter lesson and I have lost total trust in my motherland. I only come down for holidays. Am not the only one - some of my colleagues have suffered the same fate and are now back to the uk. It's such a shame; we keep hearing the government especially the Ghana High Commission encouraging us to go back home to set up businesses and contribute to the betterment of Ghana but the reality on the ground is different.
I admire the likes of Nduom who stick it out amidst this endemic pull me down of our countrymen.

A segment of the Ghanaian pupolation loves to be poor so they run down succesful people. In one way or the other that is what the 1979 and 1981 stupid revolution made us to belief.we all saw how we joined lines to buy neighbours goods at control prices. We evev bought kontomire at control prices and we were happy.if you had two water closets in your home you were a thief because we did not understand how you managed to have that.what were we thinking at that time. It has stuck with us from that time to now and for some people when they see that some body has money it is either the person is arrogant or it is drug money. The accepted perception is that the Ghanaia should be timid and poor. Most Ghanaians see people who are timid as gentle and succesdful ones as thieves but hey there are good business men out there who work hard. Please come out of the box and begin to think yoursel out of the box. You will do well embrace success in your life.
