Ex-prez., ex-vice-prez., Justices of Supreme, High Courts, ex-CIVIL SERVANTS who retire on their salaries, Chiefs and the King who benefit from their tolls can form the SECOND HOUSE OF PARLIAMENT who could debate and refine bills and acts before they become laws and economic ventures/financial matter before the First Parliament pass and act in place of one-sided decision by one parliament of YES SIR MASA politicians in majority. THIS IS NOT DEMOCRATIC DISPENSATION.
PROF: I once opposed/critisied the ABSOLUTE POWERS GRANTED TO THE PREZ. I have realised the 'creators' of the idea had reasons. If the employer/prez. does not know what he expects to be done, his employees would neither know nor do anything worthwhile but follow suit to his doom. Prez./employer will keep or get rid of his appointee who under-performs but could not sack/keep if not employed/appointed by him.
The Prez. and his party performance is decided by the voters/ELECTORATES and not by his gaping sycophants.

Who looses from getting new register
All she means is we are buying the medication and employing a dentist but we are not pulling away the decayed tooth. You can do all you are doing half of the people of this country claim the register is tainted therefore prepare a new non contentious one. Anything else is viewed as protectionist approach. Where are the brains ? Why would it take massive demonstrations and possible loss of lives to prepare a new register acceptable to ALL ? Who looses from getting a new credible register?

TOO MUCH POWER IS CONCENTRATED IN THE EXECUTIVE BRANCH AS A RESULT NOT MUCH CAN BE DONE REGARDS CORRUPTION,INCOMPETENCE, CRONY POLITICS AND FREEDOM OF SPEECH AND CONSCIENCE BY POLITICIANS (IN PARLIAMENT). ITS TIME TO CREATE POCKETS OF POWER TO SERVE AS CHECKS ON THE POWERS OF THE EXECUTIVE. GHANA NEEDS AN INDEPENDENT PROSECUTOR'S OFFICE. A MEASURE OF INDEPENDENCE MUST BE GIVEN TO THE POLICE AND NOT BE TIED TO THE APRON STRINGS OF THE RULING PARTY OR PARTY IN POWER. THE JUDICIARY MUST INDEED BE FREE. THE EXECUTIVE MUST NOT BE CONSULTED BY THE CHIEF JUSTICE BEFORE FIRING A JUDGE WHATEVER THE LEVEL OF SENIORITY. THE CIVIL SERVICE MUST BE FREE AND INDEPENDENT FROM BEING POLITICISED BY THE RULING PARTY. THE RULING PARTY MUST NOT INJECT ITSELF INTO THE DAILY GORVERNANCE ACTIVITY OF THE GOVERNMENT IN POWER. LAWS SHOULD BE PASSED TO MAKE ALL THESE CONCEPTS OF DEMOCRACY WORK. GHANA'S DEMOCRACY IS YOUNG AND NOT YET READY FOR SUCH FINE TUNING.
