First of all, why is it that if the journalists were lying, they should be sanctioned got only one line but you seemed comfortable to bash npp? Even in advanced countries like USA, political parties and or candidates have the liberty to boycott tv or radio stations they feel do not serve their interest. What is wrong with npp taking a stand on biased issues? Why would you discount Adakabre's apology but you are willing to give weight to a hungry father who is waiting for a handout from his son? Was R.O present when these things happened? If Adakabre lied, could he not have acted based on lies? Dr. K you are becoming too predictable for your hatred of NADAA and the party he leads. Freedom of the press in this instance was given a very big boost in that the back and forth, just showed who was lying and peddling falsehood and engaged in a personal attack based on hatred at the good fortune of another, by elements who out of desperation resorted to propaganda to achieve a certain end, which has failed.
Freedom of the press is very much alive and adhered to strongly by some, unlike others who beat up journalists and destroy the tools of their work, unlike some who physically and violently manhandle to the point of grevious bodily harm and assault of journalists on an international platform, unlike others who craft bills to proscribe and erase media plurality and freedom of the press, unlike some who spew invectives on media practitioners, unlike some who send the security apparatus of state to apprehend media owners and practitioners about scandalous happenings in gov't.
The winds are in the sails of the NPP and Akufo Addo when it comes to freedom of the press and so it shall remain. As to whether their apologies were forced or not, Ghanaians leave it to their own conscience. The commitment of the NPP and Akufo Addo to freedom of the press and media plurality is unassailable. It is a breathing and living record and a fact.
What would not change however, is, the propaganda to characterize the NPP and Akufo Addo is not going to work. John Mahama has lost the elections and that is the hard honest straight in the face fact. Let's keep it moving...

His apology is for the false impression created that Nana Addi personally issued death threats to him. Moreover, if the owners of the FM stations are convinced that the action s of the 2 will affect their business and therefore take steps to put them in line, what is Arthur K's beef with that. If they want Adakabre to have a program for NDC sympathizers to bash Nana Addo, they have every right to do so. All they need to do is to give a disclaimer, that Adakabre show is pro NDC. They are claiming to be neutral but bias against another group, which in itself is bad for business. There are so many talk shows in the US operating from many radio stations, morning, afternoon and night. In the morning I listen to Less Conserving, afternoon to Rush Limbaugh, evening to Sean Hannity / Marc Levin, and in the night to Michael Savage. These guys are strong conservatives who do not see anything good in the current president nor Hillary. The difference is thsat you know right at the door that they are conservative talk radio hosts. Therefore, if you are not a conservative all you do is tune off. However, if you are interested in conservatism you stay tuned. The same stations have liberal talk shows too, liberals tune in to those stations, actually, I do not even know the names because I am not interested. But if you are like CNN that claims to be neutral but biased towards liberal ideology you lose advertising dollars as people tune off to look for what they want listen to. Despite should had known that people like these are more of a liability than asset. Adakabre is finished alongside advertising cedis from NPP sympathisers. He is of no use to NDC either, for he is now a spent force that is not credible. Who would listen to someone who conjures death threats on innocent people? Why keep people like Tekesie, Adakabre, Afia and others? Despite has a business to run and business should outlast NDC, NPP, and all these useless entities. Why risk it on these people who have never or ever going to be able to set up a business? These riff raffs and throwbacks who want some months of fame on radio. Apology or no apology a great harm is done to the Despite group. Management should let the big guys in charge who watched these happenings to go this far to go. Adakabre, Tekesie and Afia should be reduced to cleaners of the company as they have nothing to do if let go, they have to be in the trenches to learn the trade.

If Arthur K has a problem with his patient, will he prescribed wrong medication for them. If the patient feels he cannot trust the physician, who do you think is the problem. NPP doesn't feel okay with the status quo and they have acted on it. They are not preventing the work of these people, they are just refusing to be on their show and that is not freedom of the press. Trump boycotted a Fox TV debate, and noone said it was against press freedom. NPP is not looking for apologies we need fairness.
