KB, National Accreditation Board is worse. All they are interested in is money not only for the Board but also for their pockets. Most of the people there in the administration are incompetent and live in the past.

Most of the Members on the Board are not in tune with modern educational trends.
National Accreditation Board MUST be scraped and replaced with a more effective and modernised body

The ATLAS at the back of the neck helps one to carry a relatively heavy load. Many people, especially females, earn their living through carrying load.The HEAD has many other jobs. HT: What do we use the mouth for?
ME: For talking
HT: What do you use the head for?
ME: For thinking
HT: What do we use the ears for?
ME: For listening

If it were today, and the child answered that the head was for carrying sachet water for sale, would he be accepted?
What do you think would become of our educational system if we did not teach primary and positive knowledge such as the hands afre for stealing, the legs for running away if you commit a crime, the genitals for sale oif you are hard up, the bodynorgans for sale if you want more money, children/babies for testing in theatres or making embryonic curesfor the aged to live longer etc etc

Nothing is working in Ghana. Even our educational system has deteriorated over the recent years beyong comprehemsion. Just imagine Okujeto Ablakwah is a minister of Education???? Then you listen to Tsegah, Is the head made by God to carry loads? Pepeni cannot see beyond his tribal people, ayigbe people and his girlfriends. Now all of them have messed up the country completely>. How can Tsegah think like the way he was talking? Then how does he develop the curriculum when he himself, the minister of education and the maddest of all Okujeto ablakwah are not thinking. This is where dead goat and his mumu presidency had led Ghana. Unfortunately the most ignorant and poverty stricken tribes of all Ghanaians still support NDC. Nobody can scrap GES. Those who should scrap it are worse mentally to think than what these MoE, GHS and Curriculum development gurus are saying. Ghana's story is a pathetic one where fools are clinching on to the positions with ignorant ones singing the chorus. But we shall overcome.

It has always been the old materials and the old curriculum or teaching and learning in our schools. I think we should be criticising our authorities rather than the authors. Prof Quarms only ment for the child at that level to understand that particular function of the head ßo when the child progresses the concept of thinkin will be introduced. Our curricullum should be rivised to suit the needs of the country and that is when we can move forward as a country, for only practical learning will stop the unemployment situation in Ghana. In a nutshell mr Benthle should know better.

Because our English language is poor, ( we translate our English from our local dialects) we think it is the head we use for thinking but that is technically wrong. While one of the numerous functions of the head is carrying of loads in our culture, it is the brain which is used for thinking . The two are not the same.
The government is busy looting the State and cares less about good education. Take a look at the appalling English that Journalist write.

Prof Quarm is no professor because his new paradigm is a paradigm of propagating the mediocrity which he is. Period. GES serves no purpose so I support what Kofi my junior at college has said. Why do we have parallel institutions for the same objective of delivering education? We should just have a Teaching Service Commission to vet promotions and advise govt on teachers' affairs. GES is an Albatross hanging on our necks
