It is a shame that,kufour who spent tens of thousands of Dollars on Kweku Baako to investigate Rawlings all the way to Norwey has fallen on his own dagger.

Ghanaians should be hopeful that Nana Akufo Addo will now be contraint to campaign on the tathers record of diewu kufour.And he(Nana) will be duty bound to campaign on all die die which will be rejected by Ghanaians come November polls.

Again,Ghanaians were Long vindicated when the Mo Ibrahim committee listened to the convectional wisdom of Ghanaians not to Award Kufour for the coveted prize in 2010 because awarding kufour at the time would have been a double slap in the face of poor Ghanaians who were impoverish by kufour and NPP.

Ghanaians have no choice but to reject NPP in the next election and the future elections since they have nothing to give us.NDC functionaries are not angels but most of them have conscience.So a vote for NDC is a vote of future stability and prosperity of every Ghanaian who Play by the rules.

With the npp everyone knows there are factions. The k4 faction and the Nana faction.whilst the k4 faction have been riddled with corruption accusations, there are even some ndc members who will admit no such accusations can be made against Nana.Why do you think the k4 group are doing everything possible to stop Nana who has threatened to jail every thief including his own party members. ARTICLE 57
The President

(2) The President shall take precedence over all other persons in Ghana; and in descending order, the Vice-President, the Speaker of Parliament and the Chief Justice, shall take precedence over all other persons in Ghana.
(3) Before assuming office the President shall take and subscribe before Parliament the oath of allegiance and the presidential oath set out in the Second Schedule to this Constitution.
(4) Without prejudice to the provisions of article 2 of this Constitution, and subject to the operation of the prerogative writs, the President shall not, while in office, be liable to proceedings in any court for the performance of his functions, or for any act done or omitted to be done, or purported to be done, or purported to have been done or purporting to be done in the performance of his functions, under this Constitution or any other law.
(5) The President shall not, while in office as President, be personally liable to any civil or criminal proceedings in court.
(6) Civil or criminal proceedings may be instituted against a person within three years after his ceasing to be President, in respect of anything done or omitted to be done by him in his personal capacity before or during his term of office notwithstanding any period of limitation except where the proceedings had been legally barred before he assumed the office of President.
ARTICLE 64

64. CHALLENGING ELECTION OF PRESIDENT. (1) The validity of the election of the President may be challenged only by a citizen of Ghana who may present a petition for the purpose to the Supreme Court within twenty-one days after the declaration of the result of the election in respect of which the petition is presented. (2) A declaration by the Supreme Court that the election of the President is not valid shall be without prejudice to anything done by the President before the declaration. (3) The Rules of Court Committee shall, by constitutional instrument, make rules of court for the practice and procedure for petitions to the Supreme Court challenging the election of a President.". .

The General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie, has stated that Lawyer Benony Tony Amekudzi would have been shot dead immediately after stepping out of court because he has wasted the time of the highest court of the land, if we were in the primitive ages.
According to him, Lawyer Amekudze was only allowed to present his application before the Supreme Court Judges because the law allows it, but if it was in the ?olden days, he would have been shot immediately after the court because he has wasted everyone?s time; but it is not so these days, and for the fact that he has legal backing to appear before the court, we would accept it?.
The out-spoken NPP General Secretary made this claim on Asempa FM during the assessment of Tuesday May 28, 2013 court proceedings, in which an application of Lawyer Benoni Amekudzi in the highest court of the land was dismissed.
Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie who is also known as Sir John was especially elated with the Supreme Court?s decision to quash the ?Amicus Curiae? brief application by Lawyer Amekudzi, which he believes should not have been started in the first place because it has done nothing but waste the precious time of Ghanaians and the Court.
?I am very happy that he cannot bring any application which would waste our time before the court again,? he added.

In perpetuating the National Award Day tradition for 2013, President John Mahama has nominated three distinguished personalities for the Order of the Volta Award (Member Division). They are Lawyer Kwablah Senanu, Judge Francis Kpegah, and Lawyer Tony Amekudzi.

In a statement issued by the Chairman of the Awards Committtee, Dr. Kpesseh Whyte, these personalities have rendered meritorious but frivolous services to the nation in various legal capacities even in sleep, retirement, and in some circumstances, weird appearances in court. He remarked that nations fall and rise on the backs of their heroes, and it was only appropriate to recognize personalities who unabashedly betrayed their partisan positions to render selfless services to their party, region and nation.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of the NPP, Sir John, on Asempa FM, alleges the award is partisan, although the awardees deserve them. He hinted of a conspiracy to change the name of the award to the Order of the Ashanti, should the NPP emerge victorious in the ongoing court petition.

The awardees will be interviewed on Radio Gold's Morning Show program tomorrow. Counsel for Justice Kpegah, David Annan, says although his client is optimistic about the award, he harbors an uncanny fear of a possible impersonation plot, since his middle name, Yaonasu, was not included in the official award document. However, Dr. Kpesseh Whyte assured him that nothing of the sort would happen.

Lawyer Kwablah Senanu was spotted dancing in his residency to a gospel song from Emmanuel TV hours after his nomination. In a brief remark, he mentioned that following his recent deliverance from the jaws of sleep, he's been experiencing mild insomnia, and fears he might doze off again at the award ceremony. Meanwhile, every attempt to reach Lawyer Amekudzi proved futile. Some officials are wary the man is planning to stage an unexpected and possibly vexacious showing to protest the verdict of the court in a recent case regarding the constitutionality of suing, John Mahama in the ongoing petition.

I hope you know what an offshore account means and the tax havens etc. If the company is to help Ghana why was it not set up at the Registrar Generals Dept so that the tax proceeds come to the country rather what was to be gained from the secrecy is the relevant question the whole world is asking. Deals and deals all the way from the UN to Ghana yet they stand in their high places just like the Pharisees and shout at others. Let them continue to put that yoke they are not able to carry themselves on the shoulders of the weak and the day of judgment referred to in the Book of Revelations will be the day of reckoning for us all to see. This is nothing to do with local politics so when the die is cast it will be all of them from both sides this nobi npp or ndc matter but all of them.

Hi Adelaide, you need to realise that Offshore savings accounts allow you to save in different currencies. And, contrary to popular belief, you don’t have to be hugely wealthy to take advantage of them. You can have it too, but its subject to tax.
The accounts are legal, and given the volatility of african currencies, there are many who have got foreign or offshore accounts. It is offered by many high street banks. In this case, some of these accounts have their own tax jurisdictions because they are in different countries, but you manage your account online, phone or post. Where we have African currencies with such high voltility, people save money elsewhere and your ability to save in the currency to fund your retirement, removes risk of losing out on exchange rate fluctuations. NDC have already stolen peoples pension monies?? So the offshore is not a problem.

The issue here is the law firm that helped people to hide money. Just like our judges who helped ndc to win or woyome and co to escape.

SO until you have a proven case that the accounts and names mentioned in the papers were actively involved in laundering or withholdiing tax, then you don't have a leg to stand on. It will soon evolve that ndc reps also have them. What do we say then???

The other thing is that if ghana does business with another company and the funds or proceeds come from those listed accounts, it does not taint the people whose names have been mentioned . we need to be circumspect. If you had the opportunity you would have an offshore and foreign account too, but you would pay taxes on them - abi?
