How could we claim to be civilized and continue to indulge in this kind of barbarous mob murder of an alleged criminal?

We have Police Stations to send captured thieves and other criminals. Even a murderer deserves a day in Court to be charged and duly processed, and if our Laws demand that such a murderer suffer Capital punishment, that punishment would then be meted out according to the prescribed methods under International Human Rights Laws.

The danger of tolerating and continuing such mob action lies more in the possibility of killing an innocent person. Mobs react spontaneously to any alarm raised by others against a suspected criminal. If someone simply dislikes another and viciously raises an alarm of theft on another, a mob could easily be misdirected to harm the innocent person.

Many would say that such mob actions follow incidents where the culprits have been caught red-handed. Even so, there could be mitigating circumstances that might lead to disprove the charge.

But the case for using the Courts go beyond that. We should not entertain brutal, savage assault on anyone as the best way to mete out punishment for wrongdoing. And by this, I am not condoning evil behaviors among our folks. I am only emphasizing the need to refrain from mob assaults of any kind. Period.

The culprits who killed this person must be arrested and duly charged for all to learn from it.
