The question that begs for an answer is: why should the npp claim to be the ones that invited the SA 3 when they know that they are fooling ghanaians. Why?

Its obvious that, our security as a nation was at stake here because, clearly , NPP, per Atta Akyea's claims, would have outsourced our security to bunch of South African nationals who haven't even see real war before, nor versed in the protection of big profile politicians.

Imagine, the impact of the NPP decision on our security forces and what it would have wrought on moral and logistics for the extended security forces across our country? NPP made a wrong decision and those responsible should have been sent to the gallows or executed by trial, simple as that.

Later, John went to the kitchen to get some refreshments. Bill's wife followed him and asked, "Did you see anything that you liked under there?"

Each day and every comment made by NPP leaders on the SA3 and other issues lowers my esteem for them and reduces my hope that they can ever do better than the Mahama Govt. One begins to wonder whether these potential ministers are the right caliber of people we need in govt? Why do they want to break the law and justify it? Is that how they are going to rule, if given the chance? Please NPP, stop this. The SA3 came on a business/visitor visa. This visa does not allow them to work, whether paid or for free. They are not allowed to engage in any form of work. Period. They violated the terms of the visa and this is not allowed in any civilized country. And the last time I checked, Ghana was counted as a civilized country. Go to the US with a student visa and begin to work, beyond the limits allowed. You will be thrown out when found out. Or go to Iraq for a visit and then you join IS to fight for free. If caught, you will bundled out, if not killed first. NPP has bundled their own operation but will want the whole world to think they are being persecuted. The Director, Immigration has the power to do what he did and that is what is expected of him. He acted perfectly within the laws of Ghana. Some lawyers for you. They should just shut up. They are becoming a nuisance.

A counsel for three repatriated South African former cops has disclosed that the men did not charge to train bodyguards for the leadership of the New Patriotic Party.

Mr. Atta Akyea was contesting claims that three former police officers were working in Ghana.

“They were not working…that means you are talking about remuneration. This people came to help them,” he told TV3 New Day Wednesday.

Ahmed Shaik Hazis, Denver Dwayne Naidu and Mlungiseleli Jokani were arrested in the Central Region last week engaging in security activities contrary to what their visas permitted them to do in Ghana.

They were put before court for conspiracy to commit crime and unlawful training but were granted bail on Thursday. They were however deported to South Africa Tuesday morning.

Atta Akyea who is the Member of Parliament for Abuakwa South stressed, “They were not going to be paid. That is the point of the whole matter. They have not put any price on what they were doing; so why should anybody imagine… ”

He however fell short of disclosing who covered their travel cost from South Africa to Ghana

“I’m not able to divulge that because with all respect, I don’t have the full information as to the cost of their coming. But what I know is that this was for free.

“There are a lot of things that happen for free when they know that there is a good man to protect his interest.”

At the time of their arrest, the three ex-cops were training 15 men in VIP protection and other security drills for NPP’s presidential candidate Nana Akufo-Addo, his running mate Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, and their spouses.

Atta Akyea told New Day host Bridget Otoo that the party would find a way of providing security to the leadership of the party.

“We will ensure that Nana Akufo-Addo’s security is not naked,” he emphasized and assured that the party would not do anything to create unnecessary tension in the country.

With a greater mandate as Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi-Boasiako has sworn he will never rest until the governing National Democratic Congress is overthrown.
The 36-year old businessman elected last January, is promising to replicate in the Ashanti Region, a regime-changing uprising in Tunisia popularly known as Arab Springs.
The Tunisian revolution was sparked off in 2010, after a street vendor, Tarek al-Tayeb Mohamed Bouazizi, set himself on fire citing harassment and humiliation from municipal authorities. His death triggered weeks of demonstrations that cleared out a 23-year old regime.
Speaking at a rally in the Ashanti Region, Mr. Antwi-Boasiako popularly called Chairman Wontumi, said people in the Region are disgusted with the capitation policy of the National Health Insurance Scheme piloted in the region.
Under capitation, a pre-determined ratio of health service will be allocated to each Ghanaian to be used within a certain period. The amount paid to the health service provider is irrespective of whether a person would seek care or not during the designated period.
The policy, government says, is an attempt to cut spiraling cost of healthcare. The opposition, however, have nailed the scheme’s problem as down to corruption and mismanagement of a once healthy scheme into a crisis-ridden one facing imminent collapse.
“If [President] Mahama knows what is better for him, he will abandon this capitation [policy]“, Chairman Wontumi said.
In opposition to this policy, he told the crowd, “in a month’s time, I chairman Wontumi will call on one million to two million people in the Ashanti Region to join a big demonstration for about a month”.
He pleaded with chiefs in the region to ignore the President because he has nothing good to offer the region. He alleged the President’s brother, Ibrahim jets off to South Africa every week fueled with taxpayers money.
“Can you pay for school fees? Can you pay for electricity, can you pay for your mother’s health when she is sick?” he sought response from the crowd.
According to the Chairman, the NDC government has failed Ghanaians in view of the hardships imposed by government.
“What the Tunisians did, We are going to do here in Ashanti Region; May Chairman Wontumi never rest until the NDC is overthrown” he swore. The crowd cheering him on."
