You see, if you are one sided on issues and something is not right on those you support then it becomes problematic to explain. What is Kwaku talking about? has there been any political party which used ex-military captain to import foreigners to train people in the name of crowd control? this case of NPP is exceptional which they NPP themselves find it difficult to explain. Mr Kwaku Barko, I dont think NPP will hang you if you tell them the truth. The truth will set you free. Not even Nana can explain NPP behavior which is why he is quiet.

President Mahama has chastised the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) for not selecting a competent northerner as its flagbearer.

Citing an example of former Vice President Ahaji Aliu Mahama, President Mahama accused the NPP for paying little attention to northerners.

According to him, the NPP has shown in the past that it has very little respect for northerners and therefore cannot be trusted.

The President made the remarks in Tongo when he resumed his camping tour of the Upper East region after suspending it for three days to attend to the victims of the Melcom disaster in Accra.

He said “our brother Aliu Mahama was Vice President for 8 years. I was Vice President for 3 and half years. For almost 12 years, we have tasted Vice Presidency. It’s no longer exciting. It’s no longer what we want.”

He said if the NPP wants votes from the northern part of the country, then they should put up Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia as their flagbearer to face-off with him.

“They want to win here, they should put him in number one and let two of us contest and then they will get something from here,” the president said.

Meanwhile, President Mahama has described the defeat of the republicans in the US elections as a good omen for the ruling NDC and an indication that similar thing will be replicated in Ghana in the upcoming elections.

According to him, anytime the democrat party win an election in the US, the NDC also wins in Ghana, making reference to the 2008 elections.

He said: “In 2008 polls in the USA, Obama won by chasing the elephant into the bush and later the NDC also chased the elephant into the bush in Ghana, and just this week, Obama has again chased the elephant into the bush, which will be replicated in Ghana in December.”

He said the performance of the NDC government in the last four years is enough evidence to encourage more Ghanaians to vote massively for the party in the forthcoming elections.

President Mahama said inspite of the increase in wage bills as a result of the implementation of the single spine salary structure, government is still economically solid to execute more development projects in the phase two of the Better Ghana Agenda.

This is evident in the manner in which he keeps hammering on the fact that the NDC govt is not doing anything while we all know under the leadership of JDM, scores of developmental projects are being undertaken such as the Expansion of Tema Port,expansion of Takoradi Port, expansion of Tamale and Kumasi Airports,Atuabo Gas plant, exploration of major oil blocs, namely: Ten, Gye Nyame,and the Volta Basin,construction of brand new Atuabo Free Port, Rehabilitation of Komenda Sugar Factory,construction of Elmina Fish Processing Factory among others.
JDM is taking Ghana on the right path and no amount of falsehood peddled against his administration will materialize.

After they made an open declaration on Muntie Radio, about deaths and by-elections in the Abuakwa constituency, NPP's MP for that area was murdered the next day; they continued that by the time of the November election takes place Nana Akufo-Addo would not be leading the NPP as presidential candidate. While some members of the opposition party leaders have strangely passed away, it's prudent that the NPP got alert esp Nana's safety. It will be suicidal for anyone to let their guard down trusting that the pro-NDC state security will protect and help keep Nana Akufo-Addo as he tours the country on his campaign trips? Naana! In effect, he who asserts must prove. Thus if you have any evidence that points to the fact that the Presodent Mahama is engaged in any wrong doing, kindly inform the police.

But if you cannot substantiate any of these allegations you have leveled against the president then I believe you have just gone a step further to confirm the assertions of Mr Afoko who said " the NPP has no message for Ghanaians.

Currently, available statistics from the Ghana Police Directorate show that between 2013 and 2014 under president Mahama, the crime rate dropped by over 5,000. This can be attributed to the police visibility and accessibility initiative which was introduced by His Excellency Mahama. I hold the earnest view that we are safer under president Mahama and we must not give the NPP the chance to plunge this country into disarray like they did under president kufuor by looting our developmental coffers dry.

Please give a break. Ghanaians are very much aware of the crude and primitive violent methods the DANQUAH-BUSIA line now NPP employed to achieve their political goals such as the sponsoring of the violent overthrow of Nkrumah's CPP in 1966, and sending him and his family to the exile of his death. Ghanaians also recount how Major-General Barwah was butchered just because he refused to denounce Nkrumah. And the least said about the Kulungugu massacre which killed several school children who have lined up to see the president and permanently maimed the flower girl, the better.

Currently, Ghanaians are truly safer under the NDC government as a lot of efforts have been made to retool our security agencies to deal with anything untoward.
The NDC by all standards is a peaceful party and it still upholds the principle of probity, accountability and transparency. Thus, It has demonstrated over the years and still counting that it will always campaign on issues which are evident based and not the cheap propaganda the NPP results to all the time when nothing is working in their favour.
On the score of trusting the NDC, it is on record that between 2013 and 2014, the crime rate in this country dropped by over 5000 which is a clear indication that we are safer under the NDC and president Mahama.

In all humility how can a person (Mahama)who has ended the shift system in our basic schools, ended the energy crisis in just one year, completed the 147 sawla fufulso road, retooled our security agencies as incompetent? Is this the kind of human beings politics has turned us into?
Moreover, if you have any evidence that implicates the siting president of any wrong doing, kindly furnish the police with that information. That is your civic duty.

The Police service has stated in unequivocal terms that it will provide security for all flagbearers just as they did in 2012.

The police service by all standards offers its services to all and sundry irrespective of their status.

The NPP has said on various media platforms that they have not sort the services of the police hence stop throwing dust into the eyes of Ghanaians. The police are constitutionally mandated to cater for our security needs and if the NPP wants to do otherwise, then they should make sure all their paperwork are in order.
We are sick and tired of people who always want to take the law into their own hands just because they want to satisfy their selfish gains.

Also going by the blind fury exhibited by Agbenyo Fred as to why the NPP would go public and disclose intelligence reports about planned attempts to stage a "terror operation" on Akufo Addo, Ghanaians cannot be so sure because in Nigeria, prior to Buhari becoming President, a similar event was staged on his life but it wasn't successful and today, he is President of Nigeria and corruption is on its knees gasping and panting for breath as he pursues corruption to the very gates of hell. So Ghana can't be so sure especially when we have a gov't that is regarded as the second most corrupt in the whole of Africa after South Africa and bests Nigeria for the first time since Ghana gained independence.
