1. Rawlings is a high school graduate so there was no path for him making a living in any economy. Today he is living comfortably on a the aftermath of a job he stole.
2. Rawlings overthrew a constitutionally elected government less than two years in its term. That is corruption. Constitutionally elected governments are not overthrown in military coups, they are elected by the people and only the people have the right to vote them out of power during subsequent elections.
3. Rawlings destroyed the excellent educational system that Ghana had, today Ghana is producing graduates who can't function with their education.
4. You don't kill people you claim are corrupt if you want to be a leader. Rawlings ruled Ghana for 19 years and during that time all the Asian countries overtook Ghana in their preparedness for their future.
Ghana has to go to Turkey begging for electricity generation and much more.
Rawlings must shut up and take the blame for what is happening in Ghana today.

But the President must understand that, we now as a nation are practising democracy, which obviously would not allow for unnecessary kill of suspected corrupt officials.
The courts are the only place to fight claims of corruption, this is what the former president must understand.

We must not only trust courts to punish criminals when found guilty of corruption, but we must also respect these courts when they don't find the suspects guilty of the allegations, no matter how bitter it may seem. The president must be encouraged to uphold the principles of the supremacy of law. The days of railroading the courts and cajoling them to jail people are long gone. Some would be jailed, others would be freed. That is the fact of the practice of rule of law. It has not place for sentiments and morals.

ASHANTI TOWN SNAKES Ever since the Ashanti town issue cropped up I have been amazed to hear our useless academicians attributing it to remote causes like Climate Change and the likes. Look, such things are the regular features of the wild especially during mass movement of soldier ants (Nkrani in Twi from which we got the name Nkran - Accra). During such movements by the ants in the wild, they occupy every space in the terrain including holes, crevices, cracks and snake hide-outs in the bush in a sweeping mode and since snakes fear the ants they flee - Who said snakes don't have natural enemies.
The snakes running to homes in Ashanti town is to find a place to hide themselves. The only solution to this is to allow a lot of local pigs to roam the vicinity. Cats should also be given the freedom to scan the neighborhoods to ensure that any single snake is trailed. This can only be successful if there are no Muslims and Ewes in that particular Ashanti town.
