Dr. Bawumia pointed out that the NDC had increased Ghana’s debt in seven years by GHC90 billion, from GHC9.5 billion at the end of 2009 to some GHC99 billion currently; an equivalent of some 37 billion dollars at the time of borrowing.

“First, If you sum the cost of all the loan financed projects listed in the green book (even including those with artistic impressions, it is less than $7 billion. Meanwhile, the government has borrowed the equivalent of $37 billion so where is the rest of the money? Indeed, given the resources at its disposal one should expect at least four times the quantum of investment that the NDC claims to have undertaken”, Dr. Bawumia said, as he began listing the six reasons.

Dr. Bawumia proceeded to list a number of things the over 30billion dollars from borrowing the NDC cannot account for, could have done, which proves that contrary to the claims, the NDC has done a bad job at giving Ghanaians their due after undertaking unprecedented borrowing in the last seven years.

I must say, I am fully in agreement with what our Ghanaian High Commission in the UK has just lamented. In that, our country Ghana or her Parliament, has NOT come out with an UNEQUIVOCAL STATEMENT regarding GAY RIGHTS.

Let's face it, with MAHAMA being the first Semi-Literate Northerner to run a country as Ghana, he finds it as perhaps THE MOST MIGHTY JUMP for him to be on that pedestal.

He is too WEAK INTELLECTUALLY and surrounded by "School Boy" Ministers who had never seen a Cheque Book prior to their appointments in Government.

Gays, of course should have their rights in any given society. However, what I personally think should NEVER BE ALLOWED TO BE ENTERTAINED in any given society is for them to be allowed to ADOPT CHILDREN.

That would send a very confusing signal to the children as to who is the Father or the Mother.

There is NO doubt that this COCAINDC GOVERNMENT is the WORST OUR NATION GHANA HAS EVER PRODUCED.

There are issues that are indefensible and to attempt to defend such things is plain wrong. In an attempt by John Mahama to shore up his dwindling image from his failed leadership, the humiliation and embarrassment he has suffered has actually made it worse for his image.
For journalists to be restrained in their normal course of duty to the point of violence, is not only revolting, it is reprehensible and smacks of a country with Kim Jong Un tendencies.
The whole episode from a desperate leader looking for validity, to the boycott by the Scottish MPs, to the restraining of the journalist, was an unprecedented moment of humiliation and embarrassment.
There was nothing proper and right about this whole debacle and it is most unfortunate.

I am certainly not one of these Ghanaians, this president is referring to,and were I a Scot I sure as bloody well would have no respect for a leader like him! There is no need to talk or ask parliament for the protest against Mahama's embarrassment, because naturally other tribes in Ghana in general easily understand your intelligent and wise plea.

Naturally the major difficulty lies with the Ashantis controlled NPP who are honestly very difficult people whose behaviour in national politics seem like they are cursed due to the way they only support what favors them and oppose good things that never originates from them. This behaviour is purely selfishness and demonic.

If there is any move which will benefit our nation in this issue then it should be an Ashanti president before they could see the need to do something positive in the parliament to check the behaviour of the scottish MPS.

My problem with the Ashanti mindset is this they support what is in favor of an Ashanti only, a move that I call primitive oriented mindset, which is not good for the progress of this nation of ours.

It is true that same sex relationships have existed in Ghana, while what people do in private is their own business, the sensibilities of this society must be respected. For me this means that while people must not be persecuted for their sexuality, we as a society must respect the moral values that hold us together as a people. We cannot afford to give the sort of recognition that more liberal societies give to the Gay community. It's not really a question of equality but being respectful of our norms as a people.
