Why give any special treatment to any particular demographic. There could be a time where the best players are all Ghanaians born and raised abroad. The demographics are changing.

I like local players and want them to be involved in the national team...however, like the coach said, they must earn their place in the team...the local league is so weak that the teams don't go far in international club com ...

I like local players and want them to be involved in the national team...however, like the coach said, they must earn their place in the team...the local league is so weak that the teams don't go far in international club competitions...
they don't do well in the cup of nations for home-based players, they cant even qualify for the Olympics anymore...all the good players are shipped overseas to countries like Malaysia, Vietnam, India...just this week i read that two players have joined a team in Ethiopia...reason why Ghana teams did well in the 70s and 80s at club competitions(kotoko, Hearts, Olympics, Hassacas) was that there was no mass exodus of players like it is happening now...we went to stadiums to watch the local stars in the local league even though European leagues were shown on TV..that's why i continue to say that the GFA must come out with a rule that players must play in the local league for a minimum of certain years (2-3) before they can be allowed to go international...i even pity the coach as to how make his selection because the players are so many in Europe...and most are doing well...and so the coach is more than correct when he says that he cannot be forced to include local players in Black Stars

U WILL RATE THEM AGAINST FOREIGN BASED COMPETITION AND ASK URSELF...WELL, IF THE LOCAL PLAYER WAS TO PLAY IN EUROPE. WILL THEY STILL BE SUCCESSFUL? THAT ASSERTION MAKES IT UNFAIR FOR LOCAL PLAYERS TO EVER BE INCLUDED IN BSTAR. THEREFORE, THERE NEEDS TO BE A 3/4 PLAYER QUOTA THAT GIVES PREFERENCE TO LOCAL PLAYERS. WITHOUT THAT, COACHES LIKE GRANT WILL ALWAYS PREFER FOREIGN BASED PLAYERS OVER LOCAL ONES UNDER THE GUISE OF QUALITY....
