This was deliberate and not a mistake. What would have happened afterwards if Christians had retaliated? Does it mean that Muslims are agents of Satan who has vowed to destroy the church? If indeed, Woyome had a good case, the officials who caused the financial loss to the State in Kufour administration should have been dragged into the issue to explained the circumstances leading to the debt. This was not done. Either Criminal or Civil, Woyome is not to refund the money. The government cooked the food for all interested parties to enjoy.

If anybody should be blamed for the current situation then in all fairness, it should be ex- president kufuor who administration failed to do due dilegence and awarded the contract to woyome.
The Justices of the courts of Ghana uphold the ethics of their profession and if you have ample evidence which implicates them of any wrong doing, kindly petition her lordship - Georgina Wood the chief Justice of this country.
it is also evident that after the expose by investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas, the judical service has undergone a lot of retooling hence it does not condone corruption or any form of vices.
moreover under president mahama, various state institutions have been strengthened to intensify the fight against corruption in order to safeguard the public purse.

Now we have to blame the judges because animals like you think the ruling was because they come from the Volta region,animals like you think judges should rule on public opinion but not the law,fools like you and the clueless Attorney General don't know that it is officials who cause financial loss to the state and in this case the officials of the Kufour government which in the first place started this mess causing financial loss to the state.
Fools like you should be asking yourselves why the vindictive Kufour government jailed some NDC officials for causing financial loss to the state just because they signed contracts that were a failure like this one using the people who benefited from those contracts against those who helped them to get the contracts,ask yourself why Kufour didn't prosecute Boadu and Valley View Farm director but prosecuted and jailed Dan Abodakpi,killed Victor Selormey in jail and prosecuted and jailed Tsatsu Tsikata.
Some of you don't know the difference between civil case and criminal case and using the Supreme Court ruling to say they should have jailed him even if the case cannot be proved beyond reasonable doubt,you guys think we should cut corners to jail somebody no matter what to make you happy,even that Supreme Court ruling was purely based on public opinion,it was a sham ruling,not by law that is why the man is heading to international court.
Even our dogs know that it is the responsibility of government to take international contracts to parliament not the contractor,the contractor has no obligation to do that,something that was recently repeated when NPP MPS ignorantly said the IMF bail out was not put before parliament and IMF silent them by telling them it is not their job to take contracts to their parliament but fools like you cannot digest on that to stop your foolishness.
As for that Attorney General,she should have been sacked long time ago,she has caused another financial loss to the state by wasting tax payers money on this case,we said it that she was going to lose this case and former CHRAJ Commissioner,Ermile Short prominently said she was going to lose the case but this woman and her deputy ignorantly went to court to appease fools like you and now here we are with another big loss to this government,we need to stop politicizing issues related to law,the two are two different things,it cannot work that way all the time,we claim we are in democracy but still believe in kangaroo judicial system.
That woman and her deputy should do the right thing like Dzifa Attivor and later Donkor did to resign or be fired,they are disgrace to this govetnment and the country,they should behave like civilized people to resign immediately or be fired immediately,we cannot have Attorney General in this modern world who believes in kangaroo judicial system.

I will urge you to go and read the several books which were published by Dr. Agambilla, former deputy minister of finance under the Kufuor administration who described the NPP's described the NPP's approach to politics and governance as procurement politics in a widely circulated book he wrote after he left office.
And this was evident during the 40 million cedis renovation of the private residence ex-president kufuor at airport resdiential area under the watch of Nana Addo as AG while our school children were studying under tree.
I strongly believe it is only fair that we ask why Mr. Yaw Osafo Marfo, then Education Minister under the NPP was not jailed by Nana Addo, then Attorney General when the former was embroiled in the dubious scandal involving the printing of some textbooks for Ghanaian schools?
Is that the kind of selective administration discerning Ghanaians expect from the then erstwhile Attorney General; Nana Addo who will never be president since he cannot even unite the various factions in the NPP namely, "Kufuor,Alan and his"?
Ghanaians deserve better and this is the reason why they will continue to vote for JDM since under his tenure various state insitutions have been strengthened to intensify the fight against corruption in order to
safeguard the public purse.
And these was evident in the case ofSweater & Socks V. The Attorney General where the State(Ghana) avoided payment of US$28.9 million dollars by setting aside the order for payment made by the High Court against the state.

In my meagre legal opinion, it shouldn't affect the Supreme Court order for the refund of 51m, unless this corrupt & thieving govt have legal card up their sleeve.

However, the High Court, chaired by the infamous Justice Ajet Nasam, acquitted and discharged Woyome.
The AG proceeded to the Appeals Court to have the ruling of the Hight Court overturned. As was expected, the Appeals Court affirmed the ruling of the High Court. The concept of one 'causing financial loss to the state' must be well explained. It appears people do not understand the legal interpretation of that.
The AG can now appeal the ruling of the Appeals court at the Supreme Court as the court of last resort.

Was it not under the same watchful eyes of Nana Addo that as the Attorney General, three NPP women from Dzorwulu, were caught trying to smuggle narcotics out of the country and the dockets of the three narcotic women got lost under mysterious circumstances.

This is such a big shame to the A-G Department. Consistently, our Nation's top legal Government Attorneys cannot win cases for the State.
No wonder the whole Nation is in shambles. If our Government Lawyers are so terribly incompetent, how in the World could we ever negotiate any deal with foreign entities in our favor?
Such is part of the reason why our Natural Resources have all been cheaply sold off to foreign firms, and constantly, almost every major international deal we make with a foreign firm ends up in Judgment Debt crisis, costing the Nation needlessly in billions.
The cost of such horrible legal ineptitude has been a drain on our Economy, causing enormous gaps in our developmental process. We cannot even have enough funds to pay our Teachers, build Schools or furnish existing ones with furniture. Our Hospitals are in perpetual shortage of Medicines and Medical Equipment, including even beds for patients. The list goes on and on.
What excuse does the Government really have for such persistent incompetence? Would it come out to claim another bribery of the Judges who found Woyome innocent? Well, it could well be that those Judges are among the very few that Anas tempted but failed to nail for corruption. So, if they are among the few honest Judges around, the Government would only have itself to blame for hiring incompetent Lawyers for State Attorneys.
On the other hand, the 'shoddy' work by the State Attorneys upon which the Judges based their verdict on to set Woyome free could have been deliberately orchestrated for the State to lose the case and set Woyome free.
We have seen many similar instances of such deliberate, well-orchestrated flop by the State Attorneys to offer the presiding Judges bases to rule high-level cases in favor of the defendants on mere technicalities.
The Ya Naa case re-trial under the current Administration is one such case. The Government Attorneys could even go to the Court and announce to the Judges that crucial evidential documents have gone missing under their charge, leaving the Judges no choice but to dismiss the cases.
So, let us ask ourselves what is always in store for these likely crooked State Attorneys in each of such cases?
In fact, it was with the same scheme that the $51 Million handed was handed to Woyome in the first place, anyway. If nothing at all, the so-called 'Loan' the swindler, Woyome, gave to the wife of the leading prosecutor, Barton Oduro was suspicious enough for thorough investigation. But nothing has ever been done to get to the bottom of that either.
Barton Oduro, most ostensibly, fearing his own shadow with the Woyome case, quickly sought for Parliamentary membership and won to go hide under some possible immunity from future prosecution.
What an elaborate but not so clever way to dupe a Nation and get away with it!!

The successive embarrassing “faux pas” on the part of Nana Addo as AG cannot be compared to the great work being done by the current AG(Marietta Brew) who was appointed by president Mahama.
Under the Current AG, various state institutions have been strengthened to intensify the fight against corruption in order to safeguard the public purse.
Likewise her good work as AG has helped Ghana to attain goodwill all over the world.
for instance in the CASE: Sweater & Socks V. The Attorney General(M.Brew) - The State has avoided payment of US$28.9 million dollars by setting aside the order for payment made by the High Court against the state.
Also, in the case of -Angmorte V. Attorney General; The High Court awarded a sum of approximately GH¢99 million against the State. Dissatisfied with the judgment the State appealed. The Court of Appeal agreed with the State and set aside the judgment of the High Court. The result is that the State avoided payment of about GH¢ 99 million to the plaintiffs by pursuing and winning the appeal.
In essence, under president Mahama we can boldly beat our chest and say the Current AG is making strides in the fight against corruption.

Meanwhile, I hope you and others who may have easier access to such information, especially the Government itself, would do more to educate the masses on the emergence of success we can all be proud of at the Attorney-General's Department.
So far, the Public's mind is overshadowed by the negative stories like the Woyome's case we are addressing. Therefore, I would hope the Government would never lose any such cases anymore. If we bring our best legal minds to cases of great National import, we would be able to sift the winnable ones from the potentially hopeless ones and contest with more more conviction of success than failure, and really win all.
Marietta Brew may be the silver lining for our Judiciary, I congratulate her for her successes and wish her all the best. But the long accumulated mess would take a while to lift off our books, so long as failures like this one slips through. She may have to look hard around her to weed out the crooked and inept Attorneys causing us avoidable losses.

I am also of the earnest view that we must commend the current AG and her team for the job well done especially in the AMI Africa Exploration V. The Attorney General (M.Brew) Case - in which a claim for damages in excess of US$1,000,000 against the state
was filed by a Canadian mining company for compensation for expropriation.The case was dismissed after a rigorous defence by the State.
In essence, we must not give up on the source (Marietta Brew who was appointed the President Mahama) while it still hold long term promise.

There should be no confusion here. The SC had ruled that, the money was wrongly paid to Woyome and so he should refund it. That decision has not been cancelled by the appeals court verdict.

What the appeals court is saying however is that, the 51 million cedis paid Woyome was not the result any fraudulent act by him hence he is not guilty of fraud.
Looking at how the money was paid, the appeals court verdict is easy to understand. Here is a poor soul who made a humble claim based on a cancelled contract he had with the state which resulted in a judgment debt paid him. There was clearly no fraud. But he still had to refund the money because it was paid mistakenly.

That said, if any individual has evidence which implicates the sitting govt of any wrong doing, the best thing to do is to report to the nearest police station and seek redress at the courts. That is a civic duty.
It is just sad that people like you never found your voice when the two NPP top shots, George Owusu and Ambassador Edusei, both pals of President Kufuor, were given 3% shares which amounts to a colossal US$300 million at the expense of the tax payer.
What a shame. No wonder, Dr Agambilla Former deputy finance minister under the NPP described the NPP's approach to politics and governance as procurement politics in a widely circulated book he wrote after he left office.

I have nothing against Mahama or any tribe, however from day one when the NDC came into government I spoke of one thing. They do not have a good enough team to run Ghana or any country.
Mahama could be the smartest man in the world just like Messi is the world best player but with a good team around you you will never succeed. It is the team that make the man. Take Barcelona. Take messi from Barca into another team and I bet my life that the outcome will differ.
And Ghanian sit there like sheep following lines on the road.
Tell me how is Mahama going to encourage investors when he has not solved the electricity crisis. If a company from abroad what to set up in ghana they now have to factor in alternative energy source which is costly.
Mahama has increase taxes on import and export so tell me how this will help trading
Mahama now puts 8% levy on house rentals when you get above 1500 dollars per month for what. Now ppl are think twice about construction. Does he not know that construction is pivotal to job creations, lower unemployment. In the UK during 2007 recession it was construction that helped to mend the black hole. now he wants to put in place mechanism to deter new and existing investors in this industry.
He is taking jobs from carpenters, painters tilers, plumbers, welders ETC but he must not see this.
The state of Ghana is ridiculous and his team cant do sweet fa to fix it.

Even Joy Fm's investigative journalist Azure Manasseh has gone a step further to commend the current AG- Marietta Brew who he opined that this current AG (marietta Brew) is one "he can trust."
Woyome has equally been asked by the supreme court to pay the debt he owes the state.
We must trust in the NDC govt and hold it by its words since president mahama has nothing to hide since he in his capacity as Commander-in-Chief has taken various steps with the help of the AG to strengthen our institutions and intensify the fight against corruption.

There is a reason why a Supreme court's judgements on a case supersedes all other judgements by the lower courts.
I don't see the way forward for the state/prosecution in this case. The best it can do, I may be wrong, is to appeal to a higher court (the Supreme Court).

This is a man who threatened John Dramani Mahama directly, that should he dare try to jail him in this country, he will runaway from Ghana, together with a few other people. It was a direct challenge, a direct dare, and they come and tell us, he is not guilty.
So if he is not guilty what is the basis of him being asked by the Supreme Court to refund Ghana's stolen money? And this was something just last week, the Court was insistent, he should do and not play games, even when Woyome was pleading for 3 years to refund the stolen money. So if he is not guilty of causing financial loss to the state, what did he do for which he has been asked to refund the money? Stealing, borrowing of Ghana's money, what is it?
Can the NDC gov't and John Mahama explain to Ghanaians the basis for the refund of Ghana's money and how they will describe the whole situation. Was it a loan to Woyome? Hahahaha.... The disgrace is indescribable and John Mahama wants to lead this country????
