There is this popular saying that, you do not know what you have until you lose it. This to me has become the situation of Ghana.

We seem not to appreciate the fact that, no human is infallible. Please get me right, I am not okaying mediocrity here, but whatever the case, the damage already has been done and the best we can do at this stage is to move on.

West Papua has called on us and it is based on what, they know our nation is able to do.

I believe the blander caused over the weekend does not take our the fact that, the nation still has a voice in the international community.

The nation Ghana contributes massively to the UN's international peace keeping activities.

In the sub region, we still maintain our voice in the activities of Ecowas and the Africa Union.

Anyone who denies really do not know current affairs.

The likes of Ibn Chambas, Kofi Annan and many others are still around and we still as a nation have our voice.

if we thing this is the situation we us as a nation, then it is apropos to also know that, we are where we are because this is where we chose to be.

Right from independence, this nation has been divided on tribal lines. We seem to be a people who can't see anything good in what a fellow brother or sister does, unless it is us.

For this particular reason, we have been experimenting with our national freedom for far too long, right from the days of independence.

Right from independence we have had as many as possible military regimes, who have led this nation their own way, and it appears to me, all those years have been thrown into the air.

So it basically wrong for anyone to think it is the demand for personal liberty and freedom that has got us where we are today us a nation, but our attitude.

Kuffuor's bad english didn't stop him from sending Ghana from HIPC to lower middle income group which you couldn't even specify in your brochure where Ghana stands. The deception was to replace Dag Hammarskjold with U Thant who asked the General Assembly to approve a UN Trusteeship Agreement which he then with-held from the Trusteeship Council; that is why the UN has been blind to the looting & torture of the people of West Papua for 54 years.
To end this deception we need a nation to put the issue of West Papua (General Assembly resolution 1752) on the agenda of the Trusteeship Council, which any UN gov't can do at any time.
