The problem of school children sitting on bare floor in classrooms especially in the northern part of the country is far from over.
After the Kperisi Basic School exposé which generated a lot of controversy in the country, it turned out that more schools are facing a similar problem.
One of such is the Al-suaredeen Islamic Basic School at Gulabani in Tamale South constituency of the Northern region.
The children according to Adom News’ Iliasu Abdul Dabre lie flat on the dirty bare floor to write because they are without furniture.
He said the pupils many of whom walk from long distances to school have to grapple for space on the floor due to the overcrowded nature of the classroom.
Iliasu who expressed dismay the first time he visited the school added that, the teacher cannot walk through the class to supervise class exercise.
I was extremely shocked when I saw the children lying on the bare floor” he stated while describing the situation on Adom Evening News Wednesday.
However attempts to get the headmaster of the school to comment on the issue proved futile. He told our reporter he has been asked by the Municipal Education Directorate not the comment on the matter.
Some of the teachers who spoke to Iliasu on condition of anonymity express worrying at the situation which they said is affecting teaching and learning.
They added that the lack of desks in the classroom has made most of the pupils truants – a situation they noted could affect the future of the kids.
But the Municipal Chief Executive of Tamale, Alhaji Abdul Hanan Gundadoo in an interview with Adom News, said the condition at Al-suaredeen has not been brought to his attention.
But he said if the school is approved by the Ghana Education Service (GES), desks will be dispatched to the school.
“We have about 500 units of desks available for distribution so if it [Al-suaredeen] a GES approved school, they will get some of the tables and chairs” he stated.
Alhaji Gundadoo said government is still committed to improving the educational sector.
Meanwhile, a promise by the Member of Parliament for the area, Haruna Iddrisu to provide desks for the school is yet to materialise

Change is actually happening under Mahama and the people of Kperisi can attest to the good works of the NDC govt and they equally know that `though our wants are many`` the NDC govt I believe will never relent in its efforts to equally distribute the wealth of this country no matter how long it takes.
The good people of Ghana also know it is an undisputable fact that all successive governments right from Nkrumah to all the leaders under the fourth republic and yet to come will be plagued with numerous challenges but hand-in-hand, trusting in each other, every need was attended to.
In the same vein, the people of Ghana know the NDC believes in the principle of probity, accountability and transparency and the future of children is well secured under JDM since he has made strides in all humility to end the shift system in our basic schools which plagued successive govts due to lack of adquate classrooms, distributed over 100 million exercise books to school children all over in the country all in the bid to make it possible for them to compete with other children outside the shores of Ghana.
This to a large extent is the main reason why the NDC is going to win election 2016 and not the vague utterances Bawumia and Nana Addo.

We the people of Volta region feel so insulted beyond pardon for the way NDC government has treated us. We have been taken for granted and treated as servants without brains to think. How much votes do we give to NPP yet they seem to be caring for us than NDC that we give them 98% every election. Must NPP bring the truth out before common roads in the region are constructed? JESUS CHRIST OF HEAVEN!! EVEN THE ASHANTES WE CLAIM NOT TO LIKE US AT LEAST RESPECT US AS PEOPLE WITH BRAINS. The NDC Governments make us feel worse insulted and treat us as people with no brains who will vote for NDC whether hungry, respected, maltreated or not. We will not make ourselves servants of NDC anymore. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. We will advise ourselves and stand up to be seen as the region that forms governments like the Greater Accra, Brong Ahafo, Western and Central. We feel sick that NDC has shortchanged us. We have received far less than we have given. No more will NDC see us people who accept anything than the other regions receive.

This is just another propaganda and baseless allegations that cannot be proven with any concrete evidence. NDC is government that is committed to upholding its principles and ideologies. in light of this, the SADA GYEDA issue have been dealt with holistically as RLG in that regard has paid monies due the state which was even later confirmed by several journalists in the country.
The supreme court has equally heard the issue of Woyome saga and has passed judgement. Woyome was asked in that regard to refund all monies to the state which he has agreed to pay in installment. just last week, he even appealed to the court to grant him 3 years to pay all the money. Al these attest to the fact that NDC as a government does not condone corruption in the country. talking about tribal politics, everybody know that the NPP are those who have been engaging in tribal politics since day one. examples are tribal comments by the NPP against the ewes, Gas,krobos and the almighty "all die be die" mantra by Nana Akuffo Addo.

Fabricated stories to tarnish the image of the president will not help the NDC win power as the president is more focused on changing lives of Ghanaians and transforming Ghana. How can you say president Mahama is dripping in corruption when you are aware that several policies are being implemented aimed at eliminating corruption in the country. NACAP, Payroll reform system mechanisms among others are classical example of such policies. Ghana was even recently singled out by BBC Africa as one of African countries progressively fighting corruption and yet you claimed JDM is dripping in corruption? come again!

Thus, no president has control over our cash crop products such as cocoa, timber, gold, oil among others on the world market.
In effect as part of efforts to consolidate and restore macro economic stability, the NDC government has been implementing a home grown programmes aimed at ensuring greater efficiency in public financial administration.
On the score of the Teacher Unions in the Ahafo Ano South West constituency, their opinions do not reflect the views of all the teachers in Ghana because under the leadership of JDM,the NDC Government has also prioritised the welfare and training of teachers and improved on their professionalism and redeployment at this level. in essence One hundred and sixty thousand (160,000) teachers, representing 56% of teachers at the basic education level have received career development training.
Folks, let's appreciate the good things people do, let's learn to show gratitude, ingratitude is the worst of vices; it is a kind of weakness and the clever and the strong are never ungrateful. Our love for the young man from Bole must be unrequited. Let's encourage him to do more. Posterity will never forgive us if we let him slip through our fingers.

There are several factors that account for cedi depreciation. one key example is our taste and preference for foreign goods as against our locally manufactured goods. we must therefore support the made in Ghana goods agenda by the president. The bus re-branding saga has been resolved as samrttys, the company responsible for the rebranding have asked to refund the excess money to the state of which they have already pay the installment (Ghc:300,000) which clearly attest to the fact that Government does not condone corruption in this country.
The issue about teachers is different things all together as some of them are using fake certificates. the issue of their area have equally been resolved by the ministry of employment and labor relations.

Let Ghanaians teach John Mahama and his notorious NDC a lesson. John Mahama can not take Ghanaians for any unwanted ride. What was this stupid John Mahama thinking when he and his corrupt NDC decided to accept these two vicious killers in Ghana. John Mahama should return whatever monetary incentives he received from the United States government together with their rotten gabbage (those two vicious killers).
Ghanaians in the United States should demonstrate to show their anger against Obama administration. What a hell was Obama thinking that he sent these two vicious Islamic killers to Ghana.Likewise, Ghanaians in Ghana should demonstrate to protest against these two killers in Ghana.
Islamic terrorists will take advantage to visit these two animals on pretext that they are visiting their family members We have a stupid President called John Mahama who will allow all Islamic terrorists to visit these two vicious killers.
Ghanaians must stand on their grounds for not allowing these Islamic killers to live in Ghana. If family members can visit them, then why didn't the United States release them to their family members? Ghana is not part of any Arab country. They should be packed and sent to their country.

President Mahama led- NDC administration has never taken Ghanaians for granted and would never take them for a ride as they are very dear to their heart unlike the capitalist parties.
There is no need to incite people to demonstrate against President Mahama or Obabama in relation to the Gitmo issue. Ghana did nothing wrong in accepting the 2 Ex-Gitmo detainees into the country as Ghana only honored its bilateral relations with the USA. Both governments have set the records straight that there was no monetary inducement in the deal. Besides, it wasnt only Ghana that accepted these detainees as other African countries including developed countries accepted some of them into their country.
They are equally under 24/7 security surveillance hence no cause for alarm in the country.

The create, loot and share brigade by all standards are key stakeholders of the NPP.
Dr Agambilla, Former deputy finance minister under the NPP confirms this assertions when he described the NPP's approach to politics and governance as procurement politics in the widely circulated book he wrote after he left office.
Even Dr Agambilla also told American officials that there was widespread corruption in the Kufour regime especially in the forestry sector. This was contained in the leaked US diplomatic cables.
Also, the former speaker of Parliament under the NPP, Ebenezer Begyina Sekyi Hughes when leaving his official bungalow looted it empty. He carried along all the curtains, furniture and fixtures in the house. Some media reports had it that Mr. Sekyi Hughes even took away flower pots. This is the hallmark of the NDC.
The NDC by all standards upholds the principle of probity, accountability and transparency which every well meaning knows hence it was evident in the Angmorte V. Attorney General
The High Court awarded a sum of approximately GH¢99 million against the State. Dissatisfied with the judgment the State appealed. The Court of Appeal agreed with the
State and set aside the judgment of
the High Court. The result is that
the State avoided payment of about
GH¢ 99 million to the plaintiffs by
pursuing and winning the appeal.

In any case, who has made more tribal comments in recent times than the NPP and not to talk of the All die be die mantra of the presidential candidate of the NPP?
All trained teachers and Nurses who successfully completed their programmes are being posted to their respective fields hence the argument of they being denied jobs are unfounded. it is also wrong to say HE Mahama is only interested in enjoying the luxury of the presidency as against the development of this country. President Mahama has worked tirelessly to resolved the protracted power crisis which bedeviled the country thus, no more dumsor in the country. This is also a president who is injecting lives into SHS by bringing it to the doorsteps of Ghanaians and yet you claimed he is not doing anything? Under president Mahama over 1000 youths have benefited from the YES social intervention programmes are doing their own businesses.
What shows the 2012 presidential election was rigged as the outcome of the election petition filed by the NPP shows otherwise!

The good president of this country will not condone wrong doings.if anybody is at fault, they will be made to face the full rigors of the law. this is the work of a competent government. like the President said, education can break cycles of poverty and abuse and is the key that unlock, for children, worlds into which their parents could not enter; worlds they never knew existed. education is what will drive this country forward and the president is doing all things such as supplying exercise books, issuance of free uniforms and sandals as well as awarding scholarships to brilliant but needy children. the government cannot overlook other aspects that will deter illiteracy from being eliminated in this country.

The EC is an independent and credible institution that is committed to the discharge of its duties without any fear or favour from any political party. Its very interesting how the NPP only have problem with the EC when they are in opposition but sees nothing wrong when in power. For instance, immediate past EC boss Kwajo Afari-Gyan who has oversee elections that saw NPP into power in 2000 and 2004 saw nothing wrong with the EC boss. But started questioning his credibility when they lost the 2012 elections to the NDC. Ghanaians will not buy into the propaganda agenda of the NPP to cast doubt at the credibility of the EC boss.

They do not play politics by visiting a school and supplying desks to score cheap political points like what Dr. Bawumia and the N.P.P seem to be doing.

The change you want to see is already happening with president Mahama and the people of Ghana are feeling the positive impact of his administration through the various developmental projects such as the on-going kasoa and circle interchange, Aworshie-Pokuase Road, American House to Ashaley Botchway Road, GIFFARD Road (37 Roundabout to Labadi Junction), Burma Camp Road, Phase 1, Burma Camp Road, Phase 2, Spintex Road Bypass, near KIA, Agona Junction to Elubo, Asuboi Road among others which will help ease traffic in various busy districts in the country.

There may be challenges but the NDC govt with greatest of respect, has always given and will continue to give teachers and all public servants the respect due them.
The teachers in the Ahafo Ano South West constituency are just failing to acknowledge the fact that the Labour laws and the 1992 constitution safeguards their rights hence if they feel aggrieved or violated, they can file a motion at the courts or report to the nearest police station or the labour unionsfor redress.
Ghanaian teachers in all humility will continue to vote for the NDC irrespective of their differences and that is a fact. Currently, teachers have seen an upward adjustment in their salaries by 10% under the leadership of JDM. Moreover, under the leadership of JDM teachers and pupils in35,000 basic schools will benefit from the planned improvement in the teaching and learning of Mathematics and Science at the basic level over the next five years.
That is how the NDC gov`t is bridging the gap between policy and people and the main reason why Ghanaians will continue to vote for them come Nov, 7.

The NDC govt Insha Allah will be retained in power come Nov 7, 2016 to continue the good work it is doing all in the bid to transform Mother Ghana.
The people of Ghana will continue to vote for JDM and the NDC because they are very aware of the the massive infrastructure development currently going on in this country.
It is evident that significant progress has been made in the area of education since the coming into office of the NDC Government. And access to education at all levels has increased considerably.
The total number of of educational institutions at all levels has risen sharply from 45,447 in 2008/09 academic year to 57,270 in the 2014/15 academic year, representing an increase of 11,823 or 26%.
The ongoing construction of 123 Community Day Senior High Schools across the country will provide space for the admission of about 400,000 additional students who would have been out of school.
These are just some of the reasons why Ghanaians will continue to vote for the NDC and not the NPP and its cronies who have no message

It is said that education still remains the right path to victory over ignorance and inequality.
Thus, by all standards, you need to do your own background checks to see if these untruths been peddled by some of these teachers are true since they do not reflect the views of all teachers in Ghana.
Significant strides have been made by the NDC govt to better the living conditions of the good people of Ghana in the public sector (teachers inclusive) by increasing their salaries by 10%.
Also One hundred and sixty thousand
(160,000) teachers, representing
56% of teachers at the basic
education level have received career
development training.
Likewise, One thousand (1,000) teachers have undergone in-service

of improving the teaching of

currently, President John Dramani Mahama is on the cusp of leaving indelible prints in the sands of time; he is on the threshold of breaking Nkrumah's record on infrastructure development in Ghana.
Under his leadership, Significant progress has been made in the area of education since the coming into office of the NDC Government. And access to education at all levels has increased considerably.

These are facts are these are the issues on which Ghanaians will cast their ballot come Nov 7 and not the empty promises of the NPP.

Under JDM, teachers have seen a 10% increment in their salaries. Also 50,000 basic school teachers across the country benefited from ICT training which seek to complement their research works.
Government has also prioritised the welfare and training of teachers and improved on their professionalism and redeployment at this level. We are seeking to increase the percentage of trained teachers at the basic level from 70.2% in 2014 to 75% by end of 2015.

This is not acceptable if we should actually consider the developments that are being made.I am personally not and NDC man but a very rational guy.Mahama is doing well but it requires a technical eye and mind to notice how well he is doing.I must be truthful here,I am personally a PPP guy, because of how Nduom is employing people but I acknowledge JDM,...pls lets be very rational in our judgements .We have to always read and watch or listen to news to get ourselves abreast with the developments that are going on.

What is wrong with this teacher associations. What do they do with such demands. What is the level of educational standards in the country. At the end of BECE what results do we have. Let us be realistic and see how to correct issues and win the sympathy of the public whose children must benefit from the teachers rather than thinking of filled pockets. Standards of education, even with degree holders a question.
