"Mr. Appiah said it was true that before the coup, Ghanaians had started experiencing some economic hardships. But those hardships were nowhere near what we had experienced in the latter part of the Acheampong regime and the PNDC period. He said Ghanaians noticed the hardships only because they had known better times in the colonial era and the immediate post-independence period. In 1966 there were no shortages of goods in the shops and nobody lined up for anything. People were generally poor but nobody was starving.
He added that the dictatorship they accused Nkrumah of could not be compared with the reign of terror of the PNDC days. Someone said Nkrumah imprisoned his political opponents and allowed some of them to die in prison. There was an atmosphere of fear in the country. You couldn’t say anything against Nkrumah who had declared himself president for life. You feared even saying anything against him in front of your children who were members of the Ghana Young Pioneers. Government officials dreaded the one o’clock news where they learnt of their summary dismissals from office."

Apparently, he has raised very cogent issues that rather exposes the NPP to public scrutiny.
The argument by the NPP hierarchy that Apau has been awarded by the NDC for his work at the Judgment debt commission was a rather unfortunate argument to be made.
Asiedu Nketiah simply has exposed the NPP and for this reason,members of the NPP would run at him.
But sadly, instead of focusing and sticking to the issues, the NPP is attacking the personality of the Secretary.
But the discerning Ghana reading through the lines could better explain who is truly insane.

As for people who deal in illegal substances and even take them we know that is the NPP. They are the cocaine dealers under whose watch parcels of cocaine disappeared and there are even evidences from some members of the party that proves some of them deal in drugs. Between 2000 and 2008 when the NPP was in power, Ghana was tagged as the gateway to cocaine because of their activities.
They are rather the pitoo drinkers (NPP) and they are the ones who shared and bought State facilities through very illegal means. NPP is a disaster waiting to happen to Ghana. We will not vote them into power.

For a gov't and party, that has Uhuru Kenyatta as the President of Ghana, it stands to reason, Asiedu Nketia should be the last person in Africa, in the whole of Africa to be making this sort of statement, and for the fact that he has made this particular statement, makes it so unfair, it's just unfair and plain wrong. This is a guy who as a General Secretary of the NDC party, has absolutely no clue, zilch, about their own Constitution and that of Ghana concerning who can contest as a candidate for Ghana's legislature.
The argument he's making just doesn't make any sense concerning the appointment of Justice Apau to the Supreme Court.
If he was intelligent and he had any ability, just any scintilla of just any little ability to exercise the power of reasoning, in making that kind of putrid analysis, he would have asked himself, why the GBA ie the Ghana Bar Association; the body of which Justice Apau is a member sued the Mahama NDC gov't on the appointment of Justices Apau and Pwamang.
Asiedu Nketia day in and day out completely erases any and every doubt, indeed, he erases all doubts there is a certain deficit, a very huge deficit in that NDC party and gov't and that deficit pushes Asiedu Nketia to make vacuous and obtuse statements and analysis, it is just plain unnecessary.
Indeed, Asiedu Nketia blows the popular cliché which goes like; "it is better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt." out of the water every single day he speaks to issues, and it is plain wrong and completely needless. It is very, vey unnecessary.
