The problem of school children sitting on bare floor in classrooms especially in the northern part of the country is far from over.
After the Kperisi Basic School exposé which generated a lot of controversy in the country, it turned out that more schools are facing a similar problem.
One of such is the Al-suaredeen Islamic Basic School at Gulabani in Tamale South constituency of the Northern region.
The children according to Adom News’ Iliasu Abdul Dabre lie flat on the dirty bare floor to write because they are without furniture.
He said the pupils many of whom walk from long distances to school have to grapple for space on the floor due to the overcrowded nature of the classroom.
Iliasu who expressed dismay the first time he visited the school added that, the teacher cannot walk through the class to supervise class exercise.
I was extremely shocked when I saw the children lying on the bare floor” he stated while describing the situation on Adom Evening News Wednesday.
However attempts to get the headmaster of the school to comment on the issue proved futile. He told our reporter he has been asked by the Municipal Education Directorate not the comment on the matter.
Some of the teachers who spoke to Iliasu on condition of anonymity express worrying at the situation which they said is affecting teaching and learning.
They added that the lack of desks in the classroom has made most of the pupils truants – a situation they noted could affect the future of the kids.
But the Municipal Chief Executive of Tamale, Alhaji Abdul Hanan Gundadoo in an interview with Adom News, said the condition at Al-suaredeen has not been brought to his attention.
But he said if the school is approved by the Ghana Education Service (GES), desks will be dispatched to the school.
“We have about 500 units of desks available for distribution so if it [Al-suaredeen] a GES approved school, they will get some of the tables and chairs” he stated.
Alhaji Gundadoo said government is still committed to improving the educational sector.
Meanwhile, a promise by the Member of Parliament for the area, Haruna Iddrisu to provide desks for the school is yet to materialise

There is no retroactive or proactive eligibility. She was not qualified to stand "AT THE TIME SHE STOOD" AND CONTESTED FOR THE CANDIDACY. So even if a registry is open in April for limited registration, she is still not qualified in retrospect. That's common sense.
Zenator supporters must also know that a parliamentarian represents everyone in the constituency including NPP supporters. This means the NPP guys will wait and bring charges against her at the last minute since they don't want to live under the leadership of unqualified candidate/MP. Zenator was born with a silver spoon in her month and had seen a lot of things done through sheer order of mama and daddy. Unfortunately, this is not one of them. If she plays with a Ghanaian fire, she'll surely be burn hard.

"Mr. Appiah said it was true that before the coup (1996), Ghanaians had started experiencing some economic hardships. But those hardships were nowhere near what we had experienced in the latter part of the Acheampong regime and the PNDC period. He said Ghanaians noticed the hardships only because they had known better times in the colonial era and the immediate post-independence period. In 1966 there were no shortages of goods in the shops and nobody lined up for anything. People were generally poor but nobody was starving.

He added that the dictatorship they accused Nkrumah of could not be compared with the reign of terror of the PNDC days. Someone said Nkrumah imprisoned his political opponents and allowed some of them to die in prison. There was an atmosphere of fear in the country. You couldn’t say anything against Nkrumah who had declared himself president for life. You feared even saying anything against him in front of your children who were members of the Ghana Young Pioneers. Government officials dreaded the one o’clock news where they learnt of their summary dismissals from office."

1. Do you believe that the party constitution was enacted with the intent of allowing unregistered people to vote, or giving them retroactive registration, or allowing individuals to use "limited registration privilege" as a reason for not registering before they stand?
2. Do you understand the problems that will ensue if people who are not registered in any particular constituency, and therefore can register in multiple constituency, are allowed to register and contest? How will anyone explains it if someone who is not registered has contested in multiple constituencies for the primary hoping to choose the stand where he/she wins? What about if she wins in more than one constituency?
3. Do you know that in accordance with the supremacy clause, all party laws must be in consonance with the law of the land (that is the root law of the EC, and the constitution of Ghana).

The NDC group should realize that the NDC will never take action without consulting both parties Dr Rawlings and its comrade. Issue of this sort, would be tackled and solved. Dr Rawlings wants to be part of the decision making body to bring up policies that will help uplift her constituency and the country at large. Moreover she is a woman who wants her voice to be held across the world empowering and challenging other women to take up the mantle. A person trained with blood money, no student loans and parents still milking the poor in Ghana will not seek work or open up a practice to help the needy but rather seek this way out in life. She cannot do anything better in life but to continue to live on the blood of the poor disadvantaged Ghanaians. Dr Rawlings, didnt have the chance to leave with the father more because the father knew that when he begins to show his children love and get closer to them, the enermies during his regime in terms of trouble, will use his children as a point of contact to track him down. So J.J. Rawlings relationship with his children was not all that great because he doesn't want anything bad to happen to them. Dr Rawlings only had the affection from her mother instead of father. Please its good we more about our history. J.J.Rawlings in his regime handle power to Hilla Liman as a military commander. His dream was not to become a president but was to lead Ghana in a right direction and he eventually achieve his goal by making sure those engaged in such act are brought to book. His wife supported him in every battle he encountered along the way. She knew that her husband was really working for Ghana in a positive way; Let me remind you J.J. That cannery, if i understand it better was a factory her mother look up to in making the economy stable for Ghana. In May 2007, an amount was demanded from the NPP government to enable the Calf Cocoa Company Limited operat but the money was been locked at the Ministry of Finance. The problem of the stubborn daughter of the Rawlings' is that she comes from a home of no respect to anybody because if the Rawlings' home is really based on good culture and morality, this show of deceit would not be there. Both Rawling and wife Agyemang Rawlings have been preaching and usually mentioning Accountability, probity, Transparency etc. Today, some wise people are in wait to see their reaction.

Today the whole Ghana want to see that preaching from the Rawlings' in its practicality. It is easily preached than done what the preaching says. The whole Rawlings' family is at the test road, because they had talked much about TRANSPARENCY, ACCOUNTABILITY, PROBITY ETC. Today is the day of test to see the truth in what the Rawlings' took upon themselves to preach to the nation always.

Do the Rawlings' and the NDC believe the wrong show they are putting up without transparency would never come to be a thing to discuss with disgrace today? It is a pure and real disgrace of the failure of the NDC and the Rawlings', espcially the image of Rawlings who convinced people he walks the talk.

Dividing the issues properly, one may conclude that Zanetor neither broke the NDC constitution nor the national constitution.
The national constitution bars someone whose name is not in the voters register from standing as a candidate to become an MP. The EC has not yet received any name for the parliamentary elections yet. Also, the voters register for the 2016 election has not yet been compiled.
Similarly the NDC constitution requires someone aspiring to be elected as an MP to have his/her name in the voters' register. As said earlier, there is no voters register yet for the 2016 election. It would be obviously wrong to use the 2012 register to settle an issue concerning the 2016 election.
The final verdict however lies with the court before whom this matter has been brought. I wonder why those who sent the matter there rather would not patiently wait on the court for its verdict.

Now see SADA, GYEEDA, SUBAH, AMERI, KARPOWER, ISOFOTON, WOYOME, CP, MMT bus rebranding scandal, Brazil world cup scandal, gold bars to Turkey, inflated project costs for Ridge hospital, Tamale and Kumasi airport, Kasoa and circle interchange projects etc. Now Zanator is also trying to use dubious means to get into parliament.
