Good citizens, it's always good to know that people abroad still think about their "home nation". Colourful event.

Photos like these bring lots of nostalgia. I sometimes wish I'm in Ghana - if only Mahama will make the place livable again. At least, the way he found it when he assumed office.

Why celebrate National Day in a church??
Do this so called leaders know that not all Ghanaians in Australia are christians? The right place to celebrate such an important national event is on a neutral grounds such as a public hall, community centre or in a public park as it has been in the past. It enables all well meaning Ghanaians, Ghanaian-Australians and their friends to attend without the non christians among us thinking they are doing their faith or whatever they believe in a disservice.

I read that Ghanaians in Canada celebrated (had a thanksgiving) in church too. In any case, from the article and photos, we see that the program was been successful. I checked with my friend in Sydney. He said a social function for Independence celebration was held on Saturday (5 March) evening. The church service on 6 March was thanksgiving, and everyone was told to dress up Ghana style.

We have big Churches with large numbers like LWWC, GPM, Gh fait cmt. to host this event nicely. Why the smaller church is host? Presby is small.

In the first place I will say ayikoo for such a memorable Day. Next time, such a BIG Program should not be held in such a small house like this.
It has been a favourable for the Church of A BABY DEDICATION for Keteku and the family who drawn majority of the people to the place.
It was too Fabricated and exaggerated by the writer on the attendance (people).Do not throw dust in the eyes of Ghanaian who wasn't there.
The number was not even up to HALF of the number stated. Be accurate in such articles. Many people of the globe read such memorable days. As said by Kofi Manu, "why in a church"
AS3MS3B3.
Please, Check the Topographical errors. "Asantefo)" not Asantefuo because you are a Ghanaian.

Alright Nnipa Adamfo.
I am sure the the writer did well and must be acknowledged. The focus wasn't about the number but the success of the program.

Because there's no "reversed c" in Akan alphabet, every right thinking person will know what Asantefuo means than Asantefo). Next time, find something reasonable to complain about.
I was at the function. 500 is not an exaggeration. There were more people outside the grounds and in the church hall than those inside the chapel. Add them up, and you'll probably get more than the 500 the writer mentioned.
