Yes, Nana Addo is our flag bearer, but he only embodies the aspirations of the downtrodden masses as a whole and the NPP as a party.

We had eight years of NPP government and times were certainly better for us than we have found ourselves in under the seven years of GYEEDA,SUBAH,SADA,NSS and least of all Woyome stealling from us a whopping fifty one million.
The NDC and its head corruptible Mahama must give way to the NPP.
At least if I am poor but the sacrifice is giving all children in Ghana some free education then my sacrifice is worth it.

I am surprised the former President by words and deeds is not coming out openly to condemn such utterances from some close personalities in his government.
Let it be known that if this time around the former President chooses to behave as he did in the last elections by gallivanting about receiving awards abroad, giving lectures, instead of staying at home to lend support to his Party and its candidate as former President Rawlings did in the Tain elections, the doom of NPP as a party coming into government in Ghana would be a mirage for a very long time to come.
Kuffour has had his turn as President therefore he and his cronies should restrain themselves from scuttling the chances of Nana Addo. After all, is it a victory for the party they are seeking after or could it be victory for a particular personality ?
What is Nana Addo's crime and how saintly is Allan that this albatross hanging in the neck of NPP's victory in 2016 cannot be done away with?
If the fight is about Asante and Akyem as some people would want us to believe,then it would be very sad indeed as NPP is not appealing to many tribes in Ghana, not because they are not good managers, but simply because of the utterances of some Asante people in the party. That behaviour of portraying themselves as first class citizens and all other tribes as inferior or secondly is what puts a chunk of Ghanaian voters off.
Mark my observation;if support is not given to Nana Addo to win this time around, then surely no Asante man will be President in Ghana for a very long time to come and the NPP as a party will be in limbo!!

I feel sorry for my beloved NPP. What is happening in the party is breaking the hearts of many. I don't understand why people within the party should harbor such morbid hatred for Nana. Even if a true/genuine member has anything against the person of the flagbearer it is not prudent to come to the open at election season to openly give ammunition to our opponents.
Let me sound a note of caution to all detractors within the party that if they don't stop their anti-Nana campaign and NPP loses the 2016 election that will be the end of NPP as a party. NPP will surely breakup like earthenware and never to be put back again. Please don't forget that Nana has a very large constituency within the party. In the unlikely event that through the evil machinations of these detractors Nana loses the election how do these detractors expect Nana loyalists/admirers to support any candidate put up by these detractors in the future? This is where people have to be sensible and stop acting childishly. If you really love NPP suppress your "bitterness" and join the band to work hard for NPP victory. After that we can talk about our perceived differences. Ghanaians are suffering and are looking up to NPP and Nana to rescue them. Please don't let us fail them. The NPP bus has enough space for all deserving members and sympathisers.
I am appealing to all Nana Addo bashers to call a truce and come on board.

That Nana Akufo Addo has actually collapsed the NPP is a fact that cannot be swept under the carpet. In any party that has a good leader, the topmost agenda after any primaries is to reconcile the various factions that competed for positions in order to forge a united front. But for the NPP, once the flagbearer's choice candidates did not win, that was an anomaly to be addressed first of all. So the party's topmost agenda after the primaries has been to overthrow these officials and flush out all who sympathize with them. So now, NPP has set the record of overthrowing their elected Chairman, General Secretary, etc. It is surprising that Akufo Addo expects the factions that sponsored these overthrown officials to accept the situation as if all is well. This is the reason why it would have been more prudent for Akufo Addo to present the real state of the NPP rather than that of Ghana because for any party to have any chance in winning a national election, it must be in a sound state.

Awuni is not throwing any dust into your eyes. He is telling the truth which the likes of you and Akufo-Addo hate to hear. President Kufuor does not supervise or manage any Faction in the NPP. But Akufo-Addo does.

So, open up your mind to learn more. It seems you need more learning to do to make your professorship any meaningful and deserving.

Meanwhile, you did not tell us how Afoko was 'driving the bus into a ditch'. Who started the divisiveness among the NPP? If we were to accept the factionalism in the Party as real, it would be recognized by all honest folks that the Akufo-Addo faction is the guilty culprit. It is the Akufo-Addo faction that, even before the Tamale Congress, sold out Afoko to the Interpol, hoping to stop him from participating in the election. But the man had done nothing wrong to be arrested by the Interpol. So, he entered into the Congress and won handily.

There are strong indications that it was the fear of the Akufo-Addo faction that Afoko's Chairmanship would expose the underhanded financial manipulation and corruption in NPP by that faction, led by Jake and Sir John, that formed the motive for the faction to target Afoko for paralysis.

And as surely as he had promised the NPP membership leading to the Congress, Afoko began the process of investigation into the allegation of corruption with the suspension of the non-elected Treasurer, Abankwa Yeboah, who was the functional appendage for that corruption in NPP. That is why the Akufo-Addo faction came up with some cacophonic claim of some 'Agenda 2020' being pursued by Afoko and Agyapong who had been associated with Alan Cash. That 'Agenda 2020' then became the basis for justification in all devious attempts by Akufo-Addo and his minions to frustrate Afoko and Agyapong.

How could you forget the Machete-and -Guns assault on the two top Officials at the Party Hqts. following the suspension of Abankwa by Afoko, and the many other subsequent violent behaviors by the Akufo-Addo thugs, and blame Afoko for driving the Party into a ditch?

If you cannot tell the truth, just be quiet, or you infuriate the silent majority even more.

The ONE goal is to win POWER. Therefore anything that distracts you from winning power must be avoided. For instance, if Awuni comes out with a divisive statement at this late stage of the game, you must know that his intention is not to win POWER. What Afoko was doing couldn't have won elections for the NPP. If you belong to a faction in the NPP, what you should know is that if Nana loses the election in 2016, the NPP will become like the CPP of today. Afoko was suspended because he decided to fight fraud and corruption that have being perpetuated by nana addo and his henchmen. For fear of exposure they quickly sacked without due regard to the npp constitution. Note that nana addo and his henchmen dont even believe in the constitution. Did hear the other time Dr amoako tufour on an fm station bragging that even if the supreme court order the npp to restore afoko they wont comply? If you were elected to be in charge of running any Institution or Organization, would you allow any subordinate Personnel open or re-open a dormant Account without your prior knowledge, or spend your organization's funds without your approval or prior notification?

Such lack of accountability is what has become the bane of Ghanaian society and Economy to date. No wonder we are inundated with corruption. The cycle of unilateral, and unwarranted decision-making, especially, when it comes to spending the People's money, must be broken. If NPP is supposed to replace the NDC in governing the Nation, the former has the responsibility to show how it can do better than what we are observing and complaining about the NDC. Other than that, we might as well let the Woyomes keep having a free ride with our Economy.

NPP must set an example within itself to qualify for replacing the NDC at the helm of Ghana's affairs. Period! So, Afoko did not commit any crime, did not break any ethical rule, nor did he undermine Akufo-Addo's campaign at any point in time.

Akufo-Addo and his cohorts were simply paranoid, and preemptively attacked Afoko and Agyapong. So much for Party Unity!

As far as I am concerned, the NPP could as well be a majority Party in Parliament but miss the Presidency, if Akufo-Addo does not sit up and shape up, making real concerted efforts to unite the Party by withdrawing the suspension of Afoko and all the other Party Leaders.

First, you win POWER and then it's easier to clean the house (You cannot clean a house in darkness). What Afoko was doing was undermining the party's chances at the 2016 elections. You can spin it however you want it but the truth is the truth. My advice is to "seek Ye first the Kingdom of POWER, and all other things shall be added". As it is now, the NDC cannot win power without destroying the NPP. If you're a true NPP member, you'll shun destruction of your party.

I can't believe you prioritize winning power by any means possible over cleaning your own house of corruption and instilling organizational integrity and discipline.

If such is how our Professors think then we are really light-years away from a truly mature democracy, and I fear for what they impart to our young. If a Party ranks honesty, integrity, accountability and unity only second to just being in Power, we end up having a set of corrupt Powerful fools in charge who would be stealing State assets with impunity.

I only pray that the Lord help us have the best leadership to rule Ghana, regardless of what Party that group comes from. I would not like to be part of killers and thieves and bigots.

What Awuni alluded is the persistent and protracted lack of leadership on Akufo-Addo's part to unite the Party, meanwhile he stands to gain most from such unity. The fact is that Akufo-Addo and his minions believe they can win the Presidency without Afoko, Agyapong and even all others who may support Alan and former President Kufuor. So, they bear no pressure on their shoulders to seek real reconciliation for the Party.

The irony is that a lot of the electorate cannot forgive the bigotry of the Akufo-Addo camp with it status quo display of aloofness and unwarranted vindictiveness against Afoko, and others. It is most unfortunate that almost everywhere you turn to see some ethnic insults lashed out, it is most likely to have been produced by someone who claims to be staunchly supporting Akufo-Addo, or an Akan. So, the insulted non-Akans would again vote against Akufo-Addo, and he would have half of his NPP core disavow his Presidency, even if they vote for the Parliamentary candidates from the Party. How then does Akufo-Addo win?
