You are a typical village foolish man to ask of what the president knows about education. If you are not a foolish man and tribal or political bigot you should have known that there is a committee that sit to look into the records of the university colleges in question and recommend them to the president for approval according to the constitution. Once again you are a real village man indeed.

In real sense if mentor universities collect huge fees from the private universities then there is great need for the government to get involved and see how such paid fees could be controlled so that this will not end up being burden on parents whose children sons and daughters attend these private universities.
Generally speaking having sound universities in a nation where parents can afford to pay their wards fees is basically in the interest of the development of the nation in question, thus this is the real duty of every government to intervene with a positive mind outside politics so as to set up a good system of fees payment to the mentor universities which will not affect the private universities exremely negative.
Eventually I believe every citizen ought to get involve in a way that could help bring to the awareness of the govt to be directly involved in checking the fees charged the private varsity colleges by the mentor ones.
This reaction of the govt with reasonable good agreement will help take the nation's education to a level that could be welcome at all areas of employment in the world thus making our nation great and strong with the needed developments and sound economy.

It will be better to have these universities which are new be affiliated to prestigious universities outside Ghana to learn from best practice. There is too much mediocrity and corruption in our system in Ghana.
