We cant put everything on the shoulders of the government; the government has its own role to play as the citizen has its own role. Maybe to Ghanaian, they want Ghana to be like Dubai where money making is not difficult to come by. Ghana is not the only continent forcing this problems. Dr Kwame Nkrumah, when he knew that things will be hard and difficult after winning independence for Ghana, he said something very important that "That new African is ready to fight his own battles and show that after all, the black man is capable of managing his own affairs". So if as Ghanaian we depend on the government to manage our affairs for us then we aint capable to manage our own affair" so stop the blaming the government

Ghanaians for political reasons, are quick to blame the government for their failings. Rains don't fall, blame the government, you have a headache, blame the government. Blaming the government won't solve the country's problems that may require people coming together to solve simple problems themselves. This is an isolated case and not a nation-wide problem that is evident in one school out of numerous schools in the country. The headmistress should be held accountable for admitting students without providing them with adequate dormitory facilities. She should have known the school's capacity to adsorb students without them having to sleep in toilet cubicles.

The multi-million Euro Circle Interchange project is on course. The 200 Community School project is on course. The multi-million dollar Ridge Hospital Expansion is on course. I attended Navrongo Secondary School in the mid 70s at a time when many Middle Schools were being converted into Secondary Schools. Infact we converted the toilets into study cubicles while the School authorities made efforts to build KVIPS. I guess NPP time was the golden era of Ghana. I laugh off my jaws. Because pictures were not put in the press, does not mean it did not exist. I can tell you Navrongo Secondary School deteriorated beyond repair in the NPP era, where a pantry house normally used for cooking was used as the girls dormitory. check the GBC for the documentary. You NPP desperados think you can get away with mischief. Never. I know what I am saying. Over the years, even when development is going on, there would still be pockets of places in need. you cannot generalize on this basis. When Kuffour was building that useless Jubilee House, were there no schools under trees in Accra? When challenged, Kuffour said you cannot put a hold on development until all poverty is eliminated. There are so many villages in the Volta Region with huts as school structures, yet the Govt is at the same time improving infrastructure in other places in the region. Those who wish to close their eyes and pretend that the problem started just yesterday are free to do so. Others are also free to appreciate Govt efforts at alleviating their problems. Rome was not built in a day.

A toilet can be as a beautiful as anything but the hygiene and sanitation challenges are the same. No one sleeps in toilets, just imagine the bacteria in the toilet itself, the different footsteps coming in and going out, others washing their hands with what I don't know etc. Again if the toilet is not being used, then it comes back to square one, meaning the students are sleeping in the toilet and continue to use the bush. I believe some toilets in where ever you are better than your house. Why don't you relocate to the toilets? People like you can easily sleep on the streets in the US and Europe. Interesting! Is it that boarding schools admit every student and give boarding status? Are they not students attending Pong Tamale SHS who are day students? Is it possible to quickly conclude that the administration of the SHS over issued boarding statuses to students relative to the school's capacity? Should we just take every information on the media as the ultimate real situation on the ground without making little effort to verify? Was it not prudent to get the senior house master or the headmistress to confirm or otherwise ; or there's a motive for not interviewing them too. Let's live above inconclusive reportage and do proper investigation that will be useful for ghanaians. We can do better than this lousy report
