Oh please! What sort of hypocrisy is that of yours? You and your NPP did what? Weren't we here when your NPP party did her maximum best to stampede these very projects Mahama is gracefully preaching about? Your party famously sat on the fence and chanted all sorts whilst we tediously worked our way out of the so-called "dumsor" for its fruition of today.
Thanks to the patience and understanding of the discerning majority out there who made it possible for us to achieve this feat and we will forever be grateful to the true Ghanaians out there.

Almost every sector of the economy depends on energy meaning, if there is any problem with the energy sector, it affects every aspect of the economy. therefore, for the president to be able to fixed the protracted power crisis which lasted for over 3 years, its a remarkable achievements in the annals of Ghana because he has even pegged it against the increasing population and demands of Ghanaians. Currently, a total of 800MW has been added to the national grid as revealed by the president in his state of the nation address in parliament today.

Which area can you specifically mentioned in the country that its still experiencing dumsor? Absolutely no part of the country is experiencing load shedding since December. The president promised to fix the power crisis and he has delivered. Instead of us commending him for fulfilling his promises, we are engaging in some kind of propaganda for political point simply because of our political affiliation which should be the case because power crisis was a national issue which has been resolved.

The most important thing is that the dumsor has been fixed and Ghanaians are very excited and impressed with the president's effort in resolving the power crisis. However, the protracted power crisis wasnt brought to an end because of the upcoming elections. The process to fix the energy crisis started way back when JDM assumed office as president of Ghana. several measures such as the karpower barge and the Ameri power plant among others for us to get to where we are today (improvement in power supply). A total of 800MW has been added to the National grid under the watch of the NDC government .

Every important and laudable initiative comes with a cost. initially Ghana as a country was only depending on the Aksombo dam for power generation. with the increase in population (27 million) means more demand for power which means the Akosombo dam alone cannot meet the demands of Ghanaians hence, the need to look for other alternative means. Thus, Karpower barge and Ameri power plant among others were brought on board to salvage the situation at cost. that notwithstanding, the president went ahead to reduce utility tariffs by 10-15% recently as well as increased public sector workers salaries by 10% across baord.

Thank you Mr President. You may also fix the darkness at night situation on the streets of Accra.Virtually all the streets and trafic lights in Accra are non functional. It gets so difficult and very dangerous to drive or walk on the streets of Accra at night. If that is the state of even Accra streets, one wonders what might be the situation on the streets of other towns and cities in Ghana. How much does it cost to procure street bulbs and electric cables for your capital city. Very very disgraceful - indeed.
