Itis onlyin Ghana under NDC government that crooks can scam hardworking citizens of their life savings. Doesn't Bank of Ghana regulate those investments. We have NDC crooks in key areas of our economy, and crooks can do whaever they want. The NDC officials are crooks themselves All the crooks in Ghana are learning the evil tactics NDC government officials use to loot and steal government assets for their personal use. You reap whatever you sow. Let us throw this bad NDC government out in November 2016.

We have been in this country when the uncompleted extension of the runway of Kumasi Regional Airport has been described by the Mahama NDC gov't as an ultra modern international airport comparable to any international airport in the US, Germany, France, UK, Holland, China, Hong Kong, etc, etc. So what does the Mahama NDC gov't means by an ultra modern Kumasi central market because Ghanaians have had it with mediocre leadership and propaganda.

I agree with you in toto. I don't want to believe that the president is sleeping on the job. He has all the powers under the sun to fire his appointees when they are found wanting. Failure to punish has been the bane of our society and the catalyst/promoter of the rampant corruption that we've been engulfed in.

There is a term in management known as "jellyfish" (like a vacillating leave that obeys the wind or better still goes with the flow of the current) and I don't want to describe my president as such.

Am not too happy but I have no confidence in the lying duo, Akufo Addo and Bawumia Buluu either. I hate hypocrites and self-serving liars.

If leaders fail to act, failure engulfs the whole society. Rawlings turned his eyes away whiles Konadu Agyemang Rawlings, E.T. Mensah, the Ahwois, P.V. Obeng, and others were stealing and amassing worth right under his nose and he failed to take them on. Kufour came and also did same. Mills was called upon to prosecute some people under Kufour's administration and Fama Nyame Atta Mills will not do it. The looting and the shirking of responsibility go way back to even the days of Nkrumah.

When will my people rise up from the ashes?

That is how a leader ensures that those he/she has entrusted his fiduciary duties (as president/leader for the people)to are doing the right things for the people. That is why Rawlings was a much better leader(relatively) to Fama Nyame Atta Mills. Great leaders kiss ass, irrespective of whom the culprit is. They put the fear of God in people, you do the right thing.

Some may say am calling for authoritarianism. No am not. When you appoint people to positions, you expect the to perform and deliver. If they fail in that task, their failures reflects on you (the appointing authority) and society at large.

If the guys are failing to do their jobs, fire them. Tell them to go to hell and meet Obinim and Akufo Addo there. Oh, did I say that?

Woyome's case is still being played out in court and if you believe in the rule of law, then allow the case to run is full course without the president trying to twist the arm of the court like Kufour did with Kakamotobi Henrienta Abban.

The court has made a ruling on Woyome's case; he must refund the money back to the state. He (Woyome)is playing games with the court system but I don't believe he will escape the dragnet forever. He will run out of options and he will be forced to vomit what he stole from the people.

For now, Mahama is powerless in this Woyome's case, unless you want him to be authoritarian and interfere with the court process.

I normally do not listen to John Mahama deliver his State of the Nation Address because it is so full of pipe dreams and all sorts of castles in the skies, it makes fantasy land look like a joke. But on this last address, I made it a point to listen to it, being his last State of the Nation Address before he leaves office in November, 2016 and I have never regretted such a horrendous waste of my time. However on this issue of the DKM scam saga perpetrated by John Mahama and his wife, Lordina Mahama on unsuspecting Ghanaians, the conscious attempt by John Mahama to lay the blame squarely on Kofi Wampah, in my view was not just crude, but it was deeply disturbing.
Kofi Wampah has never been the sharpest knife in the drawer when it comes to monetary policy however, he has managed to hold his own within this dangerous marauding horde of classic incompetents, governing this country into the ground and the hit by John Mahama on his person, sounded and looked very, very personal.
It sounded like John Mahama had a serious personal beef against Kofi Wampah, and knowing how the system operates, the story behind it would come out much sooner than later.
John Mahama's reason for the scam, being "the lack of effective supervision" by the Kofi Wampah-led BoG was however, in the chamber, not without reaction. And the minority rightly retorted that if Kofi Wampah had presided over the colossal loss of such an astronomical amount of money on the back of lack of the right, proper and effective supervision, then he, John Dramani Mahama should fire him, which is what any rational leader backed by the full power of his mandate entrusted to him by Ghanaians, would do, right? That would have been the expectation. However, John Mahama answered he could not fire him, because of the Bank of Ghana Act, Act 612.
Unless, there is another Act somewhere which says he, John Darmani Mahama cannot fire the Governor of the BoG, nowhere in the Bank of Ghana Act, Act 612, did I see upon reading, the President of Ghana cannot fire the Governor of the BoG for gross negligence, lack of proper oversight and responsibility and a huge and unrestrained lack of supervision let alone an effective one at that, leading to the current situation where Ghanaian's have lost literally their life savings from a scam perpetrated by John Mahama and his wife on unsuspecting Ghanaians as alleged.
My argument is predicated on the fact that, the Board of the BoG of which the Governor is answerable to for his acts and decisions has eight(8)other directors appointed by John Dramani Mahama and so he exercises the right, albeit indirectly to cause for the termination of the Governor of the BoG, for gross irresponsibility in the performance of his functions.
So the question becomes, why is the Governor of the BoG still at post when John Mahama has identified that lack of effective supervision had caused Ghanaians all over the country to lose their life savings? Why is it that if not even Kofi Wampah, the Head of Banking Supervision Department of the BoG has not been fired for the pain caused Ghanaians, if this is not an insider scam for illicit financial gain by the Mahama's as alleged?

Clearly he has been made the scapegoat for Lordina's scam and his respect is no more. It is kaput. The whole world was at Mahama's exit state of the nation address and for Wampah to be hammered in such a manner, there is nothing left for him to do at the BoG. He should know what to do because this is bad.
